[quote name='asianxcore']That matchup is still hard, but if you stop jumping it makes it harder for Seth to get those free DPs.
GG's btw. If I knew that Hawk was your main, I would have not jumped on PSN. Mostly because I think playing against Gief/Hawk is boring. One of my friends I play with locally mains Gief and we rarely play now because how boring/lame the matchups are
I would suggest just mixing up how you approach. I know Hawk only has so many options but I noticed:
-Stop jumping so much! Free DP for characters with a good one (Seth, Akuma)
-You tend to go for the same block string to poke, but I think after the 2nd/3rd hit there is a gap where I can DP.
-Do you buffer SPD's off jump? Watch out for that.
-Watch out for those Dash SPD's. The only reason why I hit that U1 with Yun getting your dash is because I recognized the setup.
We'll have to play more, when I'm back in the mood to play a lame matchup/s

Hahaha, I'll keep all that in mind. There were a couple of times when I lost a round to your Yun that I slapped myself. It's funny that so many people complain about Yun, but he's actually one of Hawk's best matchups now. Divekicks can't be hit higher than his waist, otherwise it's a free 360. Palm gets beat clean by EX Dive or Spire. Shoulder tackle is a free Super on block, and all trades are in Hawk's favor thanks to the health difference. The only thing Yun has on him is Super, but even then the damage isn't a huge thing to worry about unless Yun is going for the kill.
My blockstring with Hawk is pretty much the only one he has, and you can easily DP out of it if I'm too slow, even on hit. I do need to work on my other setups, though. I actually was using dash-360 more often against you because you were just sitting there, and I felt the risk was worth the reward. Looks like I wasn't as right as I thought.
GGs all around. I would've used Ibuki or Oni, but I felt like I needed more Hawk practice instead.
