I've only played it on a modded xbox so I'm thinking if you think it's alright, then I'll find it alright as well.
 
Last Blade Collection was one of the first imports I bought for my PS2.

the sound quality seems like it should be better. there is also slight slowdown as that review mentioned (not like the slowdown/lag you get on 3S online via Xbox 360)

I am not a HUGE Last Blade fan, so none of that stuff really bothered me. As others have mentioned, I could see how it could seriously annoy Neo Geo fanboys.

I mean, yea, I love fighting games, and I love playing them, and I really won't tolerate serious glitches - that shit in KoF XI in Europe is horrible, as is the Accent Core stuff, but this stuff at least has videos to prove it.

So I guess the only thing to do is to take the plunge myself, and take one for the team ;)

Asian, it's good to see it really didn't bother you... I don't think it will really bother me then, not for $24.

It's still highly playable and worth the $24 then? It just seems every NG fanboy I've ever seen talk about LB 2 in 1 was that it was so unplayable and just buy the AES.
 
Most of the glitches in AC are not going to noticeable to the average gamer. There is some lockup if you use certain moves with a specific characters against specific characters. The Japanese were upset because it would ruined the game for high level play. Arc hasnt said anything about fixing the PS2 version, but just that the will be more careful in the future (probably the wii version)
 
Ugh, just yesterday Tenkaichi was at "Ships within 24 hours", but now it's "Ships within 1 week" and is holding up my entire order.

No big deal, even if it takes a full week and ships next Monday, I will get it by next Fri (which is the last possible day I can get because I am moving next Saturday).

Kinda glad I paid for FedEx now with the 1 - 4 day shipping ;)

Kinda disappointed that I have to wait, but at least I have GG Slash now :D

I just saw that KoF 94 Rebout is completely out of stock from P-A's website.. glad I got that one awhile ago when it was on sale.
 
Yeah, I take the fan-boy criticism as just white noise because a) I never played half these games in the arcade, let alone on consoles and b) I just play to have fun.

Rouf--I have Tenkaichi on order, too. It started out as ready to ship late last night, but then they changed it to open by the time I woke up this morning. Not sure what happened, maybe they only had a low stock to begin with.

MM--hot news on T6. The more you report about it, the more excited I get! Damn, I NEED a PS3... :}

I am still kicking myself for missing out on that game. I remember when it was maybe $19-24 during a PA sale. I wantssss it.

Then again once I get KOFXI, it might be the only KOF game that my friends and I play for a while :)

Damn, my GF's two favorite characters are going to be in Tekken 6.....but where is mine?? MAAAAAAAAAARDUK

Yea, I don't get it, I originally picked Tenkaichi because it was in stock, I've wanted it for a long time, and everything would just ship together. It was once I got to the end and looked back (these were just chilling my cart, in case P-A decided to release early) and see that Tenkaichi is now back to "Ships Within a Week"

It seems to fluctuate back and forth.. I had my eye on it for too long :(

Here's hoping we get it sooner rather than later!

Yea Asian, I think it was $24.90 on one of the summer sales... I remember grabbing that and I think Neowave fairly cheap and a shmup or two. I usually get any fighting or shmup import when it's on sale at $30 or lower. I'd rather have them, then miss out when they go out of stock or jump back to $60.

my guess is constant updates from namco on adding new custom items (downloadable content)?

also, the medal system, if it's like the match ranking in SFIII, that's nice.

The rage system seems to be in place to be more user friendly for new players vs. experienced, but overall will make things challenging.

Tekken has always put use to its humor.

I'm kinda sad about time release as it was always an exciting aspect of the tekken games with no one really knowing if certain characters would come on or not. I still bask in the days of TTT in arcades where everyone was constantly blown away by the time release.

OT, I had a lot of offers but I think I might've sold my Supergun. I won't know 100% until Wednesday/Thursday, but I might have half of my PS3 budget soon :)

The NG fanboys who bitch about the PS2 versions of Last Blade are simply trying to justify the probably $400+ they spent on both games by making people who have the compilation feel like they have a crappy version of the game.

I currently own the LB collection, Last Blade 2 on the Neo CD and Last Blade 2 on the DC (US and JP versions). Of those, the PS2 collection is easily the best port while the US DC is the worst.

The sound on the PS2 compilation isn't terrible and I've never noticed any lag using either my PS2 Saturn pads or my HRAP. Furthermore, unless you're playing the MVS version on a good arcade cabinet, the SNK joysticks (even the lovely old style ones) don't quite stand up to the HRAP.

Now, if those same Neo fanboys who so easily spend 200+ on one game want to buy me AES copies of both games, I'll gladly run them side by side and see what all the fuss is about.

Word. They are pretty awesome.

There used to be an arcade here in the Bay at the Sony Metreon that had head-to-head cabs. They had head-to-head Japanese candy cabs for CVS2, MVC2 and I think 3S, if I remember.

Sometimes I forget how awesome head-to-heads are, then I run into a guy like I did last week. I was at an arcade playing against this guy in MVC2. He keep hitting his elbow against me the entire match. Apparently you have to move your body in a crazy, sporadic manner to play fighting games.

It just gets annoying when you are trying to play.

Played some more DoAX2 and I can definitely say, and I don't normally think this of people, but if you think there's no depth or damn good gameplay in that game, you're full of hungarian playaz shit.

I have yet to practice my horrible 3S... heck, I have no combos. I'm going old fashioned on this one with straight up random hitting and timed face slapping, surely to get me killed.
 
No worries RR, I'm hands down the worst 3s player on this board (or maybe anywhere. I dunno, I don't get out much). Plus I'll be playing losing with Chun Li...whoo hoo!

Ha ha, and I'm too busy playing Forza 2 to practice. Yeah!!!

Guilty Gear XX Slash looks amazing in 480p, too. Too bad I suck at it because I haven't played it in over a year :cry:

9 pairs of back to back head to head US style cabinets when you first walk in (six 3S, plus Rumble Fish 2, MVC2, AE)

5 or 6 back to back j-cabs in the back, 4 pairs of which are h2h (GGXX Slash, cvs2, TTT, 3s)

also Arcade Infinity always has one pair of h2h snk game, prolly rite now it's KOFXI (coz chinese love KOF)

so when you're down in Cali for E3, Games for All, AX, roscoes chicken n waffles, whatever... stop by at the fuckin arcade!

All you PS3 owners, I have a question.

So I have my Xbox 360 hooked up directly to my router via ethernet cable. I've had problem with ridiculously slow downloads (Halo 3 took me over 7 hours).

Does the 60GB PS3 also have an option for connection via ethernet? Would for some reason wireless connection cause faster downloads than direct connection?

GENERAL

* The game is currently about 50% complete. There are definately 2 new characters yet to be seen, with the possibility of MORE. Please keep in mind that the game is still in beta testing and the final product will be different from how it is now.

DEVIL JIN

* New move, f,f+3,1,b+1+2 (3rd hit is a mid punch). Zekusu doesn’t have any ideas on how to use the move yet.
* New move, b+3, seems useless right now.
* d/f+1+2 was changed to a double punch attack, the 2nd hit options were taken out.
* The laser throw recovers slower now. No guaranteed follow up afterwards.
* After hellsweep hits up close ONLY, 1+4 can connect, but it won’t if you do dash 1+4.
* 1+4 move animation has changed. Frame properties have changed as well.
* Combo damage has been toned down.
* d/f+1,2~f,f, hellsweep ender for juggles is no longer possible.
* Recovery off d/f+1,2 is slower now. The cancel doesn’t seem to be there anymore.
* If you play Devil Jin like you played him in DR, overall he is much weaker.
