tekken and street fighter use such different systems, I really dont know how you could reconcile that. Forcing Tekken into a 2D plane or forcing street fighter into a 3d plane sounds terrible. Street Fighter has a ton of special move reliance and high jump-ins and crossovers, whereas tekken has massive juggle combos.

I just dont see where the middle ground is.

It would have to be a 4 button game rather than a 6. Theres at least precedent for street fighter characters in 4 button games.
 
Tekken vs. SF? Ugh. I hope it's not true. I know I've wanted another Vs. game, but this would be like if I asked a genie for a wish, but I worded the wish incorrectly, and I ended up with a tea kettle for a head.
 
Well first thing is Tekken can't really mesh good with SF partially by looking at move lists >_<

Also, Capcom characters just spam shoto shit and Tekken peeps go dead.

A new PS2 release? Highly unlikely. A port? Probably not. I dont think the sales of crossover RPGs in the west have them super excited, if the benchmarks are Cross Edge, Chaos Wars and SvC Card Fighters. I guess it depends on how desperately bad their 2010-11 release list looks like, but it would have to be very bad.
 
For some reason that reminds me of this old goofy arcade game called Time...something. You cut off body parts and make the guy fight you missing an arm or a leg and stuff. Or maybe it didnt have Time in the title at all. I dont recall.
 
Gonna be fun doing that retarded easy infinite that the skeleton guy has in that game.

Time Killers was weird. You could have both your arms hacked off and you had to continue fighting with your head and legs. I did this to my brother in the arcades and he came back and won. I was both pissed and embarrassed.

I also remember the Genesis port being complete garbage.

Made it to a "B" rank with Ryu over the weekend...played some last night...fights are getting harder. It's still a lot of fun though. I'm thinking I'll have to take it to the next level if I want to get any higher.
