Fighting games

CAGiversary!
Why has there never been a realistic fighting game released? In a real life fight, I would not expect to flip backwards, thow someone over my shoulder, and strike them several times in the face with full force after having my ass kicked severely for over 15 seconds.

I want to see a fighting game where if my arm is bent backwards, I must continue the rest of the fight with a broken arm. If I am tripped and have my knee stomped on I would expect to continue the fight limping around on a broken leg. If my eye is jammed, I would expect to have impaired vision in the injured eye. Get the idea?

All the fighting games I have seen resemble fighters who continue to fight flawlessly after enduring multiple injuries that would severely impair one's abilities in real life. I'm tired of this. I want to see a super-realistic fighting game. Where is it?

They did. It was called Tao Feng and it was meh. Also a "real" fighting game was made in the form of the UFC games because a real fight ends up on the ground 90% of the time. As such, gamers felt it was pretty boring though UFC fans ate it up.

I prefer my games to be way more exciting and fantastic than real life.

Any game that simulates real life fighting should also simulate being very drunk, which is when most real life fights happen.

So where are the good ones? I'm not looking for a UFC game. I'm looking for something like Dead or Alive or Virua Fighter, only with realistic injuries.

Come to think of it, chicks always rip each other's clothes off through an attempt to humiliate their opponents. That doesn't sound like a bad idea either, and since BMX XXX was released, it just might fly today.

If any game developers are reading this thread (and I hope game developers read threads similar to these - being how they are written by the consumer of their products and all), please take note.

So what you're looking for is a totally unrealistic fighter that has injuries in it? Like I said, the only game that has come out in the US was Tao Feng for the Xbox.

As for ripping off clothes, check out Rumble Roses (PS2) and Rumble Roses XX (360). It's not ripping off clothes, but there are "humiliation" moves that involve spanking and what not. Like Tao Feng, Rumble Roses was pretty lame. There aren't any games that are truly realistic besides the sports sims, and the games that are fake fighting with injuries have all sucked. Virtua Fighter is the closest you'll get to a "realistic" fighting experience.

I wasn't thinking about what I was typing as I typed it. I thought the concept of BMX XXX was pathetic and lame. I have absoultely no interest in professional wrestling and can't believe there actually exist people who believe it is real. I don't even play fighting games very often and have never paid more than ten dollars for one.

I agree Dead or Alive is extremely unrealistic, and Virtua Fighter is not far behind. I still think it would be cool to have a realistic fighting game though.

Maybe game developers will give into the idea of drunk fighting. Before a match you control your character to drink. If he drinks too much, he dies of alcohol poisening and forefeits the match (please don't take this statement seriously).

I guess Bushido Blade is the closest. If you haven't played it, check it out. You fight with weapons and one good hit can kill the guy. You can't flip and do crazy stuff and usually non-fatal hits injures a limb so they can't use it. Very cool game!

but to answer your question-- realistic ones aren't made because real fights aren't as cool and interesting as Tekken, DoA, VF, SF3 etc. :)
Bushido Blade?
Exactly. Bushido Blade I and II were the most realistic fighting games made. No off the wall moves and fireballs either. The fight between the swordfighters (the exception of 2 gunfighters in pt. II) had 3 basic stances w/ one side-weapon - usaully a knife. Each slash could take out a limb; if it a leg, you go down on one knee. What made this game stand out was the fight could end w/ just one move.

whoops, lotta replies b4 i put this in!

To be perfectly honest, I think it's much more worthwhile to play a game where you yell "HEY C'MON C'MON" and other Engrish while engaging in a festival of impossibilities. Why not an ultra-realistic fighting game? For the same reason why you don't want an ultra-realistic shooter (Rainbow Six does not count here) or sports game... it's just not fun.

The first rule of Fight Club is... You do not talk about Fight Club.

The second rule of Fight Club is... You DO NOT talk about FIGHT CLUB.

How about a Wii game that accurately measures the impact of your punches or kicks based on your strength and speed and is limited by only your imagination? That means your actions will be replicated in the game even if the move has not been programmed and that if you swing like a sissy girl, your punch will reflect that of a sissy girl.

No offense to sissy girls. If you are a guy who punches like a sissy girl, offense is intended.

No, not really. I know it sounds dumb. I'm just bored.

Unrealistic Goals! How can you create an action that'd not program into game? Most wii games are program with two control sensors:a weak swing or hard swing, creating multiply detections will generally cause huge control problems or huge learning curve

Only game that comes remote close to this Dragon Ball Z Tenchachi 2 for wii
I think Mortal Kombat is based on real fighting, but I'm not 100% sure
I froze my brother in the freezer after decapitating him. It was AWESOME!!!! and totally happened!
