Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I don't know where this belongs.
I just got an email from Fileplanet.

"FilePlanet subscribers get exclusive access to the HOTTEST betas"! We've been saying this for years. This time is no different. FilePlanet subscribers have the unique opportunity to beta test a game that is SUPER SECRET. We can't even tell you who the publisher is BUT we can say, you're going to LOVE it. This is so exciting we can hardly contain ourselves!

There are a few requirements for beta participation:
• FilePlanet or Founders' Club Subscriber
• Own an Xbox 360
• Active Xbox Live GOLD account
• Reside on planet Earth

I don't know if this link will work for everyone, but this is the link to sign up for it that I got on my email. http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/top-secret/?_cmpid=fp779
You need to be a subscriber for FilePlanet so it's not really free, but free to those who already are I guess.

To save any of you the trouble and what not... The Beta has already been announced by some FilePlanet members and it is a beta for Blur.

I personally don't have a subscription to FilePlanet, but get their beta emails all of the time. They have had a bunch of Betas in the past few months for PS3, PC, and 360. Personally, I haven't subscribed because 1) I'm in college and therefore poor and 2) I don't have a PC that is capable of playing games, so the PC betas are of no use.

As for whether or not it is worth it. From what I have seen, they usually have about 1-3 betas per month. So I guess it is up to how much you value betas.

If it's for Blur, i'm out.....it looks to be a urban version of Need for Speed....but didn't EA do this already with NFS: Underground? Oh well.

paying for this? fuck that! as it is, xbox 360 is already raping people with the xbl service and other such things. ontop of that, you can't watch netflix streamed movies unless you're a gold member and you can't do other things unless you are a gold member. add this to the list. screw them

Looks like someone at Activision messed up, multiple people can use the same code, so just get one from here:

Wow, that's awesome. :D Thanks for the heads-up! Hopefully they won't cut those of us who used multiple codes off.

I had a bit of trouble signing up, though. For some reason it said an account with my e-mail already existed, but when I tried to get it to e-mail me my password, it said the e-mail wasn't in the database. :/ Strange.

EDIT: Also, in theory, couldn't someone use all the codes listed in the Kotaku entry with different e-mail address to get that many 48 hour codes? >_>;
