Okay. I know a bunch of you guys found copies of Final Fantasy 7 brand new (GH) in K-Mart and places like that over the past few weeks. What I'm asking is if anyone is willing to take a bit of a hit on their potential profit and sell it to me for as "much" as $40 shipped. I know I'm asking a bit much, but I've always said it can never hurt to ask (cue loads of people flaming me :bouncy: ).

Anyway, yeah. I'll throw in anything that's available on my trade list if you want to sell it to me for $40. If you want to sell it for cost + shipping I will kiss your virtual feet (as well as throw in anything from my list)

Thanks for taking the time out of your day to check this, and I appreciate it if anyone even so much as considers this.

Didn't this game sell millions of copies? How the fuck is it rare enough to be worth this much? I just checked Ebay, and complete GH copies are going for $60!

Dude.. do yourself a favor. I'm sure if you searched all the local Wal-Marts, CC's, Targets, game stores, etc... you'd find one for $20 easy. It's an annoying random battle blocky RPG, but to each his own. Hell... you could even get lucky and get the PC version through fileplanet or GameDownloads (or another one of those sites), since it'll run on a low end PC just fine.

Advent Children + stupid people = large profits.

And $60 for a GH copy? I sold a disc only GH copy with a partially complete manual and back insert for $71 about 3 weeks ago and believe it or not, it was even higher the very next week. But it looks like the prices are coming down a bit.

Good luck dude, I don't think anyone would be willing to help you out incase you did them a favor in the past.

Jesus tapdancing christ... I could understand if it were Panzer Saga, REZ prior to reprint, the ultra-rare Atari games... but this? This is something that can be torrented (not saying to do it if you don't own it, but still).

I have a non GH copy mint since the day it came out.. and now I'm thinking about hocking it for booze money or Wii preorder funding. I'm willing to bet Gamestop/EB only give 5 bucks for it

In the past few weeks I've had the opportunity to check all the local Targets (about five), Wal-Mart's (two), K-Mart's (two), CC's (three), Best Buy's (two) and countless EB's and GS's.. even a little used game shop in town. Nobody has it.

Yeah, I know it's ludicrous, I don't expect this to actually net me anything, but like I've said, asking questions can't do much damage.

If they're that easy to find for $20, why don't you head off and get one and sell it to me for $40? Easy profit for you. Not meant to be an insult or anything, just sayin'.

Hah... I almost threw my copy away.

I was about to when I realized that maybe someone will want the game when Advent Children comes out and won't care too much if it's mint/complete. So I put it up thinking I could get $10-15. Wow, am I glad I kept it.

I'm pretty sure everybody who knew about the price hike picked up any and all available copies.

I'll keep an eye out for one this weekend. Have you tried the Gamestop in-store availability thing? If you have a local store and find one within a 200 mile radius, they can transfer it (at least the Gamestop here does that). That way, you pay $29.99 and can get a complete copy if you find one instead of $40. I can't really blame you for not wanting to pay more than $40 for it, I wouldn't even pay that much as I'm sure demand will nose dive in 2 months.

I sold my GH sealed copy for $102.00 last week to some guy in Canada. Frickin nuts.

That'd be great and I really appreciate it. I know the guys at the local GameStop (used to work there myself) but the DM for our area is a bitch about transferring single games between stores. I've checked every store within 20 miles of my workplace and home and none even have a disc-only copy.

I would expect demand to nose dive shortly too, except for two big reasons: Final Fantasy XII, and, more important, Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus. I predict it's only gonna get worse from here on out.

fuck this, I'm going mediocre ass GH RPG hunting tomorrow morning. That's just... insane. For 30 bucks more, you could likely snag Panzer Saga!
I have a used non-gh copy if you are interested in that...
I am interested, but I figured people would be much more willing to sell a GH copy than an original copy, seeing as the price difference is somewhere around $15-20 between the editions. PM me with details as to the quality of the game and whether the manual is included, etc.

I just sold mine [GH and used, but complete and NM] on Amazon.com for 76.99.
Maybe waiting, I could have gotten more, but also the market might have peaked. Paid 20 for it, played it twice, probably won't ever play it again.

The thing is that it's not that rare. When people start paying a ton for a game on ebay, people go to gamestop, eb, etc. and sell it on ebay for profit. Kind of like silent hill 2. It's hard to find instore because it's on ebay. It maybe time for me to put my FF7 up on ebay. Personally I think the game is overrated.

Do store availability on Gamestop.com. I was using it to try to find a bunch of different rare games. It showed that there was a Suikoden II at my local GS. I went over there the next day and bought it for $59.99. It was the only PS1 game they had. That was a great day.

Speaking of Silent 2, is it the original one or GH version that is in high demand? I thought the GH version has an extra scene/episode but the ebay prices seem to favor the original version?!!

Im selling both versions for $40 myself - I've probably sold about 10 copies that i picked up at Kmart for $10 for $40.

I was really stupid and bought a $13 non GH used copy at EB years ago. Because it worked, I never took it back, but I have seriously never seen a game with that many scratches still work. It's horrible and I'd love to know what the hell the previous owner did with it.

I'd love to replace it since I know it will stop working these days and it's one of my favs, but I wish the price would go down. :(

What sort of magical Kmarts does the rest of the world have? Mine still Tekken Tag Tournament on sale at $30!

Jeezy Pete! I got one that's open...I may have to hit up Kmart tomorrow. If I find one, it's going to ebay. If I find two, it's yours.
go to pawn shops im sure u find a copy.
I think a pawn is your best option I picked up a used mint GH copy a couple of months back for $10. Pawn shop, Flea market or thrift store would be real hit or miss but, it's your best option if you want it cheap otherwise you may just want to wait and hope the price comes down, Good luck.

I got myself a non-GH copy at EB games for $30. The box has some kind of ugly melted stuff on it that's impossible to clean off. Though, the second and third discs are in mint condition, the first was too but being the idiot I am I accidentally got a sticker stuck on it and after cleaning it off it has noticeable scratches. :(
