Just a quick one...

Are Regular, non-GH editions of FFVIII worth any more than the greatest hits edition? I mean, I have a non-GH copy, and I don't think it's worth much at all, but I might as well check, y'know?

Thanks in advance.

I don't even think the sealed one would go for that much, but, yeah, I can get my hands on several non-GH editions, though. I guess it's not worth it, anyway.

consider there might be over 10 million copys of this game in the US alone... Non GH & GH...

I doubt it...

but hold it for another 5 years & if sealed even better...

There mightly be nearly 10 million copies of FFVII but a sealed original copy of that game can go for $150+ on eBay.

The only way the price will go up is if Square Enix decides to milk FFVIII like it is doing with FFVII. As soon as Square Enix announces FFVIII-2, it'll be a different story.;-)

And GH versions of a game always much a much lower value than the non-GH version. It's just to collectors and purests (like me), some people don't care.

I could never understand the dislike for greatest hits packaging for video games. It's not like it's a 2nd print comic book...

Comics books have a large following of collectors. And now, slowly, videogames are slowly garnering a following of its own collectors. So, the logic of GH being compared to a 2nd print of a comic book makes a lot of sense (though, on a rare occasion or two, 2nd print of a comic goes for more than the first print).
