I heard that there's a version of Final Fantasy X that has the original Japanese voices on it, but you can turn on English subtitles. Is that FFX International?

(I'm getting to this point that I just can't stand Tidus's voice actor, although he's getting better later into the game...)

From what I heard though, all the text in in Japanese like on the menus and stuff... and I also heard that it's not Japanese w/ English subtitles -- It just has English voices.

b. Subtitle ( only for NTSC/J )
-You can choose either English or Japanese for the subtitle at the
beginning of the game just after the sphere grid selection.
It can be change under "config" menu during the game.

c. Config menu ( only for NTSC/J )
-2 extra options which are:
= Language (English / Japanese)
= Loading (HDD / DVD ROM)

----

So I'm guessing this means that you can only change the subtitles/voices from English to Japanese or vice versa, but menu and system text will remain in Japanese...?

I wonder if a NA save game can be used to load up on the International version... but with all the changes, I wonder if it even registers as the same game.

you can change the text to english, but the voice is english only. Having try with game save but it is likely a no unless you know how to hex edit.
