Basically go to best buy, price match the game with gamestops price for $39.99, use the coupon from the @gamer magazine for -$15. After price over ride and tax it'll be around $27.

I did it today and it worked. Did it in the gaming section of best buy. Good luck!

Both @gamer coupons and FF13-2 deal at gamestop expires at the end of this minh of March

More than extremely after the BAC abuse earlier. Many internal messages are making sure that they crack down by making them responsible if there is large discrepancies in coupons scanned and magazines sold.

I was surprised at CAGs being able to use coupons multiple times since my local BBs took away the coupons right from day one when the coupons came into effect.
 
I believe the coupons are good until 4/7 actually...so going to wait to see if they put it on sale next week at BB

The way price match works with BB is that the system 1st does a return and then does a re-buy with a price adjustment. Basically it refunds you your original purchase and price adjust it to $40 with the new purchase. So you basically lose your coupon from the original purchase and it can't be reapplied to the price adjusted purchase.
 
i think we should be allowed to have best buy pm and do the coupon. any customer can do a pm but if we can't use the coupon, what good is having a paid unlocked membership? aren't we supposed to get special deals since we are unlocked members?

So Batman: Arkham city for 10 bucks is not special enough for you? The only reason I bought the magazine was for that, and I would do it again

why should they change the rules for you? "no one can double dip on pm's and coupons unless you're unlocked". yeah right...

This what I've been waiting on, but considering how quickly ff13 dropped I'm not sure I want to pay more than 15 for this.

A magazine once a month, the 10 percent extra on used trades and purchases and coupons for games once a month, many of which aren't on sale elsewhere to price match. That's what "good it is"

I have but not played ff13 so there is no way I buying this game unless I find the time and the will to play the 1st.

I can't tell if you're taking a dig at me, or trying to be sarcastic or what....but obviously Gamestop does that, as well. Although that seems to be irrelevent since the point I was trying to make was that you DO get plenty for what you pay for at Best Buy. The magazines alone are worth $15 for the year imo.

all gamestop does is give you the magazine subscription and 10%. They don't give you coupons......really good coupons might I add.
 
i am a @GAMER UNLOCKED and i yet to get any of my magazines and all the great deals going on too :)

i can't really approve of this thread, first of all what ur telling people to do is something has been stated to not work and SHOULDN'T work. This is pretty much banking on an employee who really has no clue about @gamer coupons or their policies

Nice, I'm gonna have to try this.

My Best Buy still has a bunch of copies of the game that come bundled with that bonus novel ("Episode One", bridging the events of FFXIII to XIII-2).
 
I think my BBY is the only one in the region that doesn't have any damn copies with the bonus novel. I think they never got any preorders therefore never got the damn book.
 
I went to a BBY today that I normally don't go to and saw 3 copies of FF13-2 Collector's Edition PS3 with the novella. I thought it would be hard to find, guess not.

I did not realize that this was discussed before until after I posted this. I only posted it because I was able to do it. Employees can not over ride prices. This is solely up to the Managers or whoever that is higher in position. I really did not expect this to work and was only sharing my experience.

Also they read all the fine prints because they wondered why it did not work. I did all of this in the gaming department, they should know their policy, and even if they dont, the gaming manager/supervisor or whatever (should be more knowledgeable) has the authority to do something about it. Whether it is to override or deny.

This is called Cheap Ass Gamer right? Legally I see nothing wrong with asking them if its possible to use a coupon with a Price Match. I am cheap, and that is why I asked the question which lead to it being approved.
 
its only 34.99 at tru so ts could've had it for 20 if they pm'ed the tru price instead of gamestop. the cag gods hit u with that double dip karma...u got a great deal, but not the best deal. double dipping is so ymmv, like pretty girls that work in the gaming section.

In case anyone didn't know:

Best Buy will have FF XIII-2 on sale for $29.99 starting April 1.

So after the coupon, the game will $14.99 guaranteed. No need for price matching. :D

there will be much better deals this way than YMMV pm's combined with coupons that specifically state this exclusion & the total savings/perks will go much further.
