Not really spam - it's a legit trading site that's a hell of a lot easier/safer than the trading forum, and that's not a referral link.
quiet with the spam cries. maybe some people actually dont know about gameetz.
It's spam because it is in the wrong forum.

It ain't free though. Pretty lame IMO. That's why I don't bother with that particular site.

They started as a free site but started charging a fee once they became the 1000 pound gorilla.

Eh, I've been there for nearly a year now and haven't had to pay a cent.

I got my 1 month free sub and would trade various things for sub on the side.
How does trading games for sub time work? Who do you trade them to?
If you have a game that you can't seem to get rid of, you can trade it for subscription time.

They send the subtime and you send the game. Simple.
you guys might as well try
tradegamesnow.com
it's FREE, easy, and alot of cags use it.
I tried it, decent site but the people are so slow on getting back to you. My average trade would take 2 days to finalize. Plus people harass you constantly with see my list offers when anything good is buried in their untouchable collection.

You're probably on that website saying the same thing about CAG.

Yeah, I've tried it for a few weeks and it's somewhat decent. I did get some of those offers, like "CML since I'm interested in game X" which I find out it's nothing but a list of crap games they have listed for available(while the good stuff is in their "collection list") and they're wanting a uber rare & expensive game.

Plus I put a note on my personal page that I don't ship outside the continental U.S. and get offers from Canada. It's like Ebay, no one pays attention and it's hard to get in contact with the people you're making trades with on a daily basis. That's why I try to use CAG before any of the trade sites(plus scammers run rampant on those sites).

So you send the owner(s) of the site a game instead of money? I don't really see much difference.

Maybe I'm too cheap for my own good, but I can't see paying for that service. Whether it's in games or money.

I hear ya on TGN. I've made a few trades there and keep my list pretty well updated. But I do get so many time wasting 'CML for X' offers. I now just reply with 'Please make a real offer, thanks.'

Lately I've just been buying stuff from people on CAG. I pay very quickly and don't have to fool with anything else.

Too many idiots and scammers on eBay for my tastes. If you can't read that it's only shipped to the US, then you're too stupid for much else.

I've stuck to here and won't trade/sell/buy anywhere else.

No, you send a person the game. You can transfer subtime between people.

Ah okay. So instead of paying you with PayPal or another game, they pay you in subtime. Makes sense, but not my thing.

GameTZ is a very well set up site - - their matching system in particular is pretty good. Transferring subtime isn't for the majority of trades, only for small stuff like cases, manuals, XBL 2 month codes, etc.

I like ebay a little but I haven't seen anything I would trade for on this site yet. But my boyfriend (cdeener on this site) only trades on CAG and can't stand ebay.

TGN is a horrible site with a horrible interfece and full of idiotic 13 year old kids, the free price tag isn't worth it when you get a good look at the site.

GTZ is worth every penny with the good interface, matching system, and large community. The only bad thing about the site are the nazi moderators.

yeah, ive basically shut down my name on gametz, i pissed of the owner, people here seem much more understanding of the fact that i can't send a game out in 2 days and i have a life. Most people here have lives, but i just cheap asses. over there games are the persons life, and i mean the only thing.

I've never had a problem with the moderators myself. They do a good job IMO.

I love ebay. (Throws money into the air.) It's a great idea, and an easy way to convert old games to easy cash!

I disagree. I think the trading forums are a great place to trade and have a low occurrence of scammers. You only think there are a lot around because we hold them out for public scrutiny when dealing with them.

I wonder if charging a fee to trade there actually discourages scammers.

my problem with gametz is it just isn't cost effective for me anymore, i make so few trades and moving to kenya will lower that EVEN more, but my sister will help me out since im gonna want a few new games every now and then. here is perfect for those 1 for 1 trades.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA
So wait, from what I read here you pay off the money time-by-time???? at gametz???
If you want, you can buy subtime at different rates. But you don't have to, seeing how you get 1 month free and you can trade items for subtime to other users.
If you have a game that you can't seem to get rid of, you can trade it for subscription time.

then techincally its not "free"..
then techincally its not "free"..
Well, if you don't initiate the trades, it's still free. After my trial subscription expired, I still worked on trades since subscribers could still contact me. Plus people tend to use the same username in different trading arenas, so it's not hard to find a way to contact them outside of GameTZ. But yeah, it would be really nice if GameTZ was completely free; I love the search functionality and I actually like the simple, ghetto look it has.
then techincally its not "free"..
I never said that all subtime was free, I said you get 1 month free.

Can you not follow that?

:applause: It's always nice when things get said and you get to keep your hands clean.

I do actually like how the list feature so I use that list in my sig.

Probably because you said you've never paid a cent, although I imagine shipping costs do cost something.
Eh, I've been there for nearly a year now and haven't had to pay a cent.
The problem I had with GameTZ was getting started. I filled my list with good stuff in great shape from my collection like KOTOR2 (Released 2 weeks before I put it up for trade), Ikaruga, and older PS games like Front Mission 3, Valkyrie Profile, Star Ocean 2, etc...

But after 1 month and me sending out 32 trade requests, 0 of them were a success. 29 of them were rejected without comments or attempts to modify the trades. And I wasn't even setting up poor trades. I had 0 requests for trades from other people.
I'm guessing because I had 0 feedback.

It may be decent, but breaking the ice to start getting trades seems impossible without letting yourself get ganked on a few trades just to get the feedback to be able to make trades.
