Fire Emblem The Sacred Stones - Not For Resale

I just bought FE:TTS used from EB Games.com. The game label says "Not For Resale" on it, and on the back is a sticker that says "Not For Resale - Demo GPK Only. Property of Nintendo." followed by a space for a store number.

My question is if anyone here knows what the difference is between the retail and NFR versions of FE:TSS, if any at all. If the NFR version is identical to the retail versions, then yay. If not, then I'd like to know so I can send it back to EB.

So far, the game starts off exactly like my friend's retail copy and it lets me save my data. No "20-minute time-limit" yet either. I'm just worried that the game will end abruptly sometime soon or that it maybe incomplete in some way.

I appreciate any input. Thanks.

The not for resale version was given out to employees at ebgames and or gamestop. My friend was a store manager at the local gamestop and recieved this in while I was over and gave me the copy. It is a way to promote the game to customers. This is the full retail version. It did not come with box or instructions just the cart and a letter from Nintendo.

It's actually the demo units that go in all the game boy advances you see in stores. Some Nintendo representatives will give them out to stores, some will package them up and take them. Ours always took them. He had a huge ziploc back full of GBA games, ready to take back to nintendo..

All this means is some greedy employees traded in the Not for Resale copies. It probably plays the same, but I wouldn't buy it. When I worked at gamecrazy, our crooked district manager would always trade in these.. he brought in like 6 copies of Zelda minish cap all at once, all not for resale..

Thanks for the input guys. That's what I've been hearing... that for all intents and purposes, the NFR version of FETTS is identical to the full retail version (though it's not necessarily true for all Nintendo demos). The only difference being the lack of box and manuals (which I wasn't expecting anyway since I bought it used).

Just wanted to double-check. Thanks again.
