Firefly $19.86 @ Walmart B&M YMMV [Back In Stock!]

Has anyone had any luck at a B&M Wal-mart with finding the price on Firefly, if you can find a copy? I went by two of them today and couldn't find any copies. I'm curious enough to pick up the series on a blind buy for $20 after hearing what so many people have said about the series.

All Wal-Mart's ended the promotion and sent the items back, I believe. Firefly, regardless, sold out the first two or three days, unless WM decides to re-stock and run the promotion again.

My girlfriend is checking another Circuit City for it, the local one here was sold out, it will come out to be $18 after the 110% PM.
 
Thanks Roufuss for the info. Now I dont have to waste my time stopping into WM's looking for it, I may just buy it online. How did you PM it, by printing out the product page from the WM website? That might be something I'll consider if it goes OOS again.

Yea, it's what I did... Circuit City (sometimes) looks it up on the internet just to make sure its valid, as well, so make sure the page is still there and it has the right price. Depending on the cashier, they may stop you if its OOS, or they may just ring it up anyways.

Hopefully my gf finds it when she's at home visiting today at the CC up there... if she has no luck, I will just order it online.
 
w00t! I ordered it yesterday and I just got the shipped email. If the show is half as good as the movie it'll be the best $20 I've spent since I bought Serenity.

Most like the show more than the film, so it will probably be money well spent indeed.
 
OOS again... hopefully it comes in-stock, screw price matching, I will just order it from WM.

I've tried four Circuit City's, none of them have Firefly at all, which is weird because every other store on the face of the planet has it.

A few posts up I wrote how it was part of a big promotion at B&M Wal-Mart's a month or two ago, but the promotion has ended and WM probably shipped back most of the DVD's.

I know all the DVD's that were part of the promotion vanished at the local Wal-Mart's.

I finally found a Circuit City that had ONE lone copy... my girlfriend is going to pick it up on the way home and hopefully get the PM to work since it's OOS online now.

Probably would be but it's such an old set I doubt there are many Wal-Marts which still stock it.

It went in and out of stock like 3 times yesterday so it the PM doesn't work out at Circuit City I would just check again later tonight and every 4 or 5 hours tomorrow.

I wouldn't call it dead yet as Walmart.com keeps on every once in a while bringing it back. Let's give it a week before we officially call it dead.

I'm with ya on that. I tried to watch Serenity, and after 30 minutes, I had to shut it off. Just made absolutely no sense to me.

I had it in my shopping cart ready to buy earlier today, but being the fool I am, I decided to go see if they had it at my local store.

I guess I'll have to wait for it to come back in stock again :(
