First game to ever use the double jump?

I've been giving my mind a workout this weekend trying to come up with the first game that gave players a double jump. I have no idea! Anybody have any ideas?

i'd go try it right now but my NES is broken.. but didn't early mega man have double jump (like in 1-3) ? i don't know if that was before Ghouls though..

If you couldn't buy a double jump, I vaguely recall buying noots to make you jump higher.
