First Round Exchange

CAGiversary!
My Brother-In-Law has started a new type of online fantasy football experience focused on the upcoming (Thursday) NFL Draft. It is called First Round Exchange (FRX):

http://www.firstroundx.com/

FRX is a stock-exchange fantasy football game for the draft. Eligible athletes are represented as "draft stocks" whose daily prices reflect the aggregate rankings of our experts. The goal of the game is to identify the most undervalued athletes in the exchange and add them to your portfolio. On draft day, stock values of drafted athletes will be adjusted to the predetermined rookie salary cap values for the associated picks. If your portfolio has the highest value at the end of the third round, you win! Mel Kiper Jr. from ESPN is also becoming heavily involved.

First Round Exchange is a draft-based fantasy sports game where players apply knowledge and skill to compete in a virtual stock market game against other players. Players create virtual portfolios of draft-eligible athlete “stocks” by trading with 10,000 (~$10 million) in fantasy salary-cap dollars. Athlete stocks trade on anticipated salary-cap values correlating with actual draft order of the professional sports draft. For example, if you decide to “buy” a certain athlete for your portfolio and expect he will be selected as the 15th pick of the First Round of the NFL Draft, the salary-cap figure associated with that pick order would be 1,700 ($1.7 million estimated rookie salary). If that draft-eligible athlete is selected in the draft as the 15th pick or better, your portfolio would realize a capital gain. If the draft-eligible athlete is selected 16th or higher, your portfolio would realize a capital loss equal to the difference between your stock purchase price and the liquidation value that corresponds with the actual draft slot.

I would encourage y'all to check it out, and hopefully sign-up.
