Actually, it was from a regular vendor there, always sells crappy games. He told me he traded in a ton of games that wasn't selling for those 2 games and Halo 2.

So who knows if it's a lie or not, personally, I don't give a rats ass. LOL

My thoughts exactly. I would have bought them as well, though. I mean it's possible his story is legit, I guess...

His feeling the need to give an excuse as to why he's selling those games so far below their value only makes it more likely they are stolen IMO. (Unless you asked him why they were so cheap - but personally I never let on that I think I'm getting an outstanding buy from a yard sale/flea market guy.)

Well, he's a regular there, and I'm a regular customer of his. Usually NES games though. But they were price tagged at 25.00 each, I walked up, browsed for a few seconds, grabbed up both games and said "would you take 40.00 if I bought both of them?" thinking he would since I was a regular.

Anyways, that's when he said he couldn't and told me how he got them, I said "that's fine, worth a shot right, can't blame me for trying", we both had a quick laugh, I paid him 50.00 and went on my merry little way.

Then I headed back to McDonalds for another Chocolate Milkshake hookup.
 
Flea market vendors generally aren't Phi Beta Kappa key holders but this sound remarkably dumb if the guy is legit. 50% on brand popular titles is too much of a loss to take if they're aren't pirated or stolen goods.
 
Actually flea market vendors can have some good deals on new games. My friend and I each bought a copy of Ninja Gaiden for XBox sealed one week after it's release for $25 a piece.

When asked why they were so cheap, the vendor said "they fell off a truck." :^o
