I just called my local Futureshop to see if there were any F3:GotY for 360 there. Currently none, but getting some more on Thursday. He ALSO told me that the standard price has been dropped to 29.99 so that, when this week's sales end, it'll remain that price. Now I called EB Games (since I got it there yesterday for full price during Christmas shopping - we just got our flyers today, lol) and they said, "Oh we can't price match for that price." So, on Thurs I'll try to grab a copy from FS, and then return mine to EB.

Fallout 3 is HOT. I checked the FS stock for almost every FS in the GTA and nothing :(. Can anyone post info if they see any copies at a FS?

I'd suggest getting a rain check for the game so you'll have 30 days to get it at this price.

FS in Vaughan says they're looking at early January for a restock. Can't confirm if the price drop is permanent though.

The FS rep I spoke with in Fredericton said that the 29.99 price is permanent (in their system at least.)

That would be nice, but I am not sure I trust what the sales people say. The guy that gave me a rain check said it would be good until the game arrives in stock. After looking at the receipt itself, printed right on it is a "only good for 30 days" clause.

I wish stores would train their sales people better ... most of them will never admit to not knowing something and just make up crap to sound good. For the record, that method backfires about 99% of the time. I have a lot more respect for somebody who just says "I do not know, but I will find out for you".

Get a PM at wallyworld or zellers.
Since they're often open late, just go after fs is closed.
wallyworld is open 24hrs/day until the 24th!
 
le sigh. My FS didn't receive any copies of F3:GotY in their shipment today. I'll have to check with them in a few days and, if it still only costs $30, then yay. If not, whatever - the game is STILL worth full price.

If you don't want to get a raincheck or try to get it pricematched, you can pick it up from Staples for $45.
 
I was able to PM a copy of Fallout 3 at Sears without a problem last night. Apparently wasn't the first person to do so either that day.
 
Well I got a successful raincheck on a copy & they said that as long as the flyer doesn't say no rainchecks, they have to give one. The thing that makes the raincheck really good is that if end up getting any FS credit/gift card for Christmas, I can just buy the game with that.
