I had a $31.62 gift card from a pair of busted headphones, and a bunch of visa gift cards with anywhere from 30 cents to $2 on them

I should've specified my total cash out of pocket was $90
Ah thanks for the clarfication, I was considering getting shadow of the damned and alice but after checking the combine price I decided maybe next time ._.

I noticed that FS had some used games on discount so I went to BestBuy with my rewardzone coupons and asked them to price match. They refused, saying they don't match on used games. I was so frustrated, thought I had finally found something to use up my rewardzone on. I don't get the logic, they're still selling a product and competing with the other store selling an identical product.

That's when you say something like "Alright, I'll just buy those games and everything else I ever want/need over there at Future Shop, thanks!" Might not do a lot of good, but still.

I ended up just buying the game on eBay tonight for cheaper. It's been frustrating cause I started this weekend with plans to buy the game via kijiji and then the person flaked out, decided to try getting it used at the big stores and that didn't work, last resort was eBay and it's not such a bad option if you can wait.

Unfortunately it won't do any good. Most employees at big retail stores have no care for the sustainability of the business. One less customer, especially one they'd consider a "problem" customer just makes their job easier. Then the ones that actually take some pride in their job will likely know that best buy and futureshop are owned by the same company so threatening to goto futureshop essentially is a toothless threat.

If you want older stuff its worth checking out staples. One here that never has had 50% of clearance games does, mostly ones that were on those "value" displays. Quite a few, typical zellers ones 19.99 for $10 eg sega collection, oblivion, juarez, atv untamed, sega all star racing etc quite a few. But there was some marked down multiple times making them $2.50 like wii Nights and Tornado outbreak. Some for $5 like drawn to life ,the first rabbids, brutal legend. The few ps2 games left were $2 for $1. Games from the normal are with clearance tags were there too but not much left.

On the same "all 50% off" shelf they had 2 psp 3000 bundles clearance $150. Staff claimed they didn't count although it looked like they clearly did. just talked to the gm, they are waiting for me at $75 each. the gm said they were told to clear out old games so they can refresh the inventory with new ones. I dont know if it will be the same everywhere with teh way staples is

checked the other staples here, no indication of any games on sale. The 1 pictured with a price in the flyer is still labled 69.99, $20 more. Im sure they'd sell that for the flyer price, but no way to tell what
assortment' is supposed to be lower then tagged. They have a clearance price sticker on Donkey kong country, $49.99, the original price

Some of the games are 4X what they are at the other store. Too bad, they'd have a better selection. They'll probably fix them months from now.

Ended up ordering Alice from Futureshop's website, now when I go to track the shipment it says "Item Delayed - Temporary volume surge as we resume operations."

...this is gonna be a long wait isn't it?

The Shoot for Playstation Move is $21.99 on Amazon.ca, does anyone know if I'll have trouble getting Best Buy to match that price? Last time I wanted them to match Dell they made me pay what the shipping would have cost. At $21.99 this wouldn't qualify for free shipping.

Ah, the policy on their website says they will add the cost of next day delivery. The fastest Amazon.ca provides would cost $12.50, screw that. Will try to get it on eBay for $20.
