Prototype! I just paid $69.99 plus tax at Game Centre. Well I traded 5 games for most of the price, but I'd have just bought it at $45 and keep my 5 games. Dammit.

Yes, you need the coupon. It is a really good deal if you can combine it with a PS3 for no tax.

Holy price gouge Batman. I looked it up and $35 for ONE ancient game with Wii controls is crazy. Yes Capcom did the same with Okami and RE4 but those were epic games. I doubt REmake and its ilk can pull it off.

Haha I thought $50 was expensive then remembered Wiimote + nunchuk were $70.
 
REmake is a great game, aside from the crap controls. Control type C is still better than the original PS1 version though. Definitely not worth rebuying on Wii if you already have it though. Actually the Wii version probably doesn't even have a control type C unless you're allowed to use the GCN controller.
 
There are no GC controller options for the RE Archive games; Wiimote only.

So yeah, buy the GC ones for 10 bucks each and play them on your Wii with a GC controller.
 
I don't recall if the GC version has progressive scan, but I played it at 480i via component cables on SDTV and it looked really good. Wii version probably doesn't look any better even if it has 480p, whatever.
 
I'm thinking about buying another PS2 lmao. $70 is good, but I hope there won't be some Boxing Day blowouts on them (I can wait 6 months for another PS2, lol). Monster Hunter is decent, since I thought it would be $40. Kind of hoped we'd see a RockBand: Unplugged bomba sale, but nah, not yet.

Might pick up Prototype.
 
Wow, Prototype is at a very attractive price... Too bad that's the same week when FNR4, Overlord 2, and DW6:E come out...

I saw it at RCSS this week for $59. That price plus the no-tax event = good deal.

GT prologue is just a demo, get forza 2, its really cheap now.

Problem was I had it pre-ordered at Amazon for $57 with the intention of cancelling depending on reviews. The reviews were mixed so I cancelled. Then after a few days of going back and forth I decided to buy! Problem was it was now $70 everywhere so I went to Game Centre because I wanted to do some trade ins for Prototype and knew they'd pay more for my GC stuff. So under the circumstances I did the best I could, not knowing the game would drop a week later to $45, ouch!
 
well heres my daily cheap-ness...

went to BB and got them to PM (and beat by 10%) Amazon.ca's price on Killzone 2 which was $47.97 ($69 @ BB...FS has it listed for $59 so there's a greater 10% discount going to BB)...it should have ended up as being $45-ish...but instead the cashier gave me $10 off instead of 10% of the difference...so I walked out of there with Killzone 2 for $37 :)

next went to FS with BB's flyer and got them to PM (and beat by 10%) both Prototype and Wolverine...although the guy can't do math so he just put Wolverine down for $35 and Prototype down for $40

gotta love stupidity on their ends :lol:
