At first glance I don't see how MS can drop the price of the Arcade to $129.99 and leave the Elite's at $299.99 (An extra $170 for two games and a 120GB HD?) but with the impending spring bundle that has Halo 3: ODST and Forza 3, it appears they are adding more value to the Elite bundles than simply dropping the price. Definitely more appealing to get a 120GB HD and two-AAA games for $170 than two average games.

Our 360 is the least used of the consoles, but we're not Live players. Still, I've no regrets about buying it, but I do have cold feet about buying games for it.. because I know there's a good chance I won't be able to play them years from now, thanks to harddrive being what it is.

So they aren't really trying to compete with the elite.
