The 360 for both.

When AC came out, the PS3 Version was incredibly broken. I am not sure if they have fixed most of the bugs now with updates but, on the whole the consensus was that you should go with the 360 version. For Hawx it has a 5 gig install on the ps3 and generally looks better on the 360. The PS3 version has a lot of blurring.

Here is a good "Head2Head" comparison of both versions of Hawx

I rented AC for PS3 after they patched it, and it was still a technical mess. I still was going to pick it up for $9, but it's not in stock around here. I'll just put that cash toward AC2, I guess.

Edit: I suppose they could have patched it again after I played it, I just assumed they hadn't. I don't know.
How many boxes of the sugarcoated death do you buy (and feed to your kids)!?

I've been through almost 10 boxes and not a single $10er (not that I'm complaining mind you).
I know you're not asking me, but it can't hurt to mention how I've fared. I snagged a $10 on the 8th box I bought. I'm up to about 20 boxes now and haven't gotten another

I've only eaten about 4 boxes of cereal though, these things are going to last me till next year  I seriously doubt I'll use half of the coupons too...
Hiding stock to prevent a loss on the product. SOP of FS/BB.
That should be illegal...

Btw, no Nintendo coupons in the boxes where I live :( sob

Since you asked, three a year shared with everyone. One box on their Birthday and one for Christmas. My Sons 8th Birthday is next week and Christmas is in a few months so for $2.50 I thought I'd buy it early. The rest of the boxes I bought were Mini Wheats my husband like them and the kids get them a few days of week also.
My kids eat well. I enjoy cooking more then playing video games. I have a vegetable garden, buy meat from the local butcher and get other stuff from the farmers market in season. Anyway my portabella, red pepper, onion and cheese omelette with toast and homemade strawberry jam is getting cold, good bye.

Dammit, last night I noticed that FS dropped AC to $9.99 on their site and there was stock at a location near me so I put in an order for in-store pickup. Never received a confirmation email so I just checked my order status and it had been cancelled without informing me.

You did tick me off but I'm over it now :)
I've picked up 3 $10 in probably 10 boxes. That is a pretty good ratio. I can maybe get Kingdom Hearts DS now. $40 is just too much for a DS game.
Glad to know Mini wheats are one of the Healthiest.

*breaks out in song and dance to the various Mini-Wheats commercials*
"miniminiminimini-wheatsssss"

I haven't had them in forever...those new frostings intrigue me.

On another note...I wonder how many more WalMart sales it will take for FS/BB to take initiative to have good...sales. Huh.

sorry, but you're totally wrong..
bb had infamous for$30..
Fs had resistance psp for$19...
both had dark space for $9
And a $299 ps3 bundle with many games thrown in...

Walmart is a horrible place for games...: dont get fooled by their ads!

Just got back from the WM and the only cereal that they had that had the promotion was Froot Loops, Frosted Flakes and Corn Pops; so I grabbed a bunch of Froot Loops (since I don't eat that stuff very often).

*/me flips over*

Tho if given the option, I would have gotten all Miniwheats instead. *fixes monocle*

*/me flips over again*

Isn't Kingdom Hearts published by Square Enix? If so, then it wouldn't be part of the promotion since it only covers Nintendo published games and accessories.

*/me flips over one last time*

And yeah, again, I didn't mean to flip out but your high ratio for 10ers just shocked me since I only get 5s. :(

edit: Just checked all the boxes I got, and damn my luck, all 5ers. meh

I think it's about even. Most of the best BB/FS sales were the summer sales where people hoarded limited copies in record time. Yet at the same time, I believe it made EB pricematch to stay competitive, which is good for everyone.
The $299 bundle was more a case of great timing than a great deal, the price dropped and they honoured the week's deal with the new price.
Walmart sometimes has some decent stuff in their bargain bins more quickly than FS/BB ever would, and I think their games drop more quickly in price. They have some decent deals too, like the recent Batman AA deal. *shrugs* Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

BTW, do Miniwheats still come in brown sugar frosting? That stuff is wheat-based crack...

does anyone know if walmart is going to have a second flyer for this?
the flyer i got says 18 to 24 but they are advertising on radio and in store that the anniversary sale will last 15 days this year until october 2nd

Shopper's has various cereals for $1.99 this week, but it's the non-coupon sizes. Argh. I need cereal for work: IGA has Life at 2/$5, but no coupons there.

Dude, if you live in Ontario, No Frills has the big box of LIFE cereal for $1.99
Is it me, or does our miniwheat mascot look cooler? Looks like he could kick the US version's ass in a fight
Our's looks better. Could beat the gringo one and ours doesn't even have any limbs!

Someone help me buy a clue to see if I'm following the conversation here right...

Those $5-$10 Nintendo cereal coupons aren't just for games, but for consoles? So $94 DSL - 5 or 10 coupon would work? If so, my interest has peaked, time to find some brown sugar miniwheats!

Our mascot can kick its American counterpart's ass and eh kills aleins and doesn't afraid of anything!
did i do that rite?

Sounds about right. Afterall, some lucky schmuck will end up with a 500$ coupon/whatever and what's he/she/it is gonna buy with it?! I don't think there is enough Nintendo published software to cover 500 bucks (possible if you add in accessories). :p

If you're planning on finding discounted games at a local Walmart I suggest you go into a Supercentre. From my experience Walmarts other than the Supercentres don't have most or all of the advertised discounted games.

Good luck finding Assassin's Creed and sport titles for the PS3--you'll need it!

I just gave in and purchased Assassin's Creed Director's Cut for PC on Direct2Drive. It's on sale now for only $5 and is supposed to be better than the PS3 version anyway. Thought I would mention it here for people who were unable to find a copy of the console version.

In this generation, EVERYTHING (short of exclusives obviously) should run and play better on PC. No exceptions (short of shoddy port quality of course).

I remember when the system requirements came out for AC they were pretty high (near Crysis levels), so you'll need a beefy rig to handle it.

About a year ago I put together a new PC. I'm not a PC gamer but figured I should get a halfway decent video card, the Geforce 9600 gso 768MB. I downloaded AC today and it runs great on the maximum settings. There is a little screen tearing when you exit the Animus, but I can turn on vsync if it gets worse. So if your system can support it I recommend getting in on this deal. AC downloaded in about 3 hours (almost 6GB) and the installation and activation was very smooth. Direct2Drive seems to be a good option, I probably like it better than Steam.

dancrane212 I'm impressed with the clone helmet decent quality plastic. I test fitted it on my husband the sizing of the helmet looked to scale of a real Clone trooper and for $20 it's well worth it.

The Walmart in Kanata has new stock of Bioshock 360/PS3 and a few 360 copies of Hawks but no new stock of Assassin Creed. The 360 Bioshock was the greatest hits version.

Loblaws in ontario I haven't seen the flyers in other provinces has roses for $1 each. Really nice selection and colours. Steams are 50 cm perfect for a regular sized vase. Tip: you'll get bonus points from your significant other or Mom if you bring home flowers on a non special day :)
The Kanata Loblaws at centrum had a nice fresh selection.
