Folklore Pricedrop at Gamestop $29.99

I was at my local Rt. 22, NJ gamestop. I was going through the Playstation 3 games and I saw a used copy of Folklore for $26.99, and a new one for $29.99.

I went to two other store where they had a sticker price of $59.99, but it rang up at $29.99.

Great deal for a game that earned good reviews. :applause:

I think it will take some time for them to update the price on the internet.

it got good reviews? nonetheless this is a decent price drop although getting it on clearance at target is the better bet if available
 
This is one of the few games I've ever regretted playing. If you pick it up, ignore all the sidequests and just do the story. The gameplay is incredibly repetitive and there's no real advantage to collecting all the folk - I wound up getting really burnt-out on the game halfway through but determined to finish anyway to see how the story played out - it turned out not really to be worth the time I put in. The lovely visual design and kind-of-intriguiging storytelling don't really make up for the shallowness of the experience.
 
I really want to get this game but dont want to pay full price for it. 29.99 new is not that bad so I might check it out. I downloaded the demo and have yet to even play it. Maybe I will play that before I buy.
 
I am trying to get through this game myself and finding it really repetitive. Having to play through with both characters to finish the game is just stupid. That being said 30$ is a great price- that's what I paid for it on clearance at target.
 
Damn, even $30 is a hard pill to swallow for me on this title. The demo was not overly impressive, but I'd still be willing to pay the $15 for it on clearance on Target. Too bad I haven't been able to find any Targets that had it for less than $30.

well, my target was completely out of them when i checked the day after st patty's day.
 
I'd say it is a good price. I payed $40 and found it worth the time and money. While I do agree with the repetitive comments, the game can be easily finished in under 14 hours and there are enough different elements that it doesn't get too bad. Also, I found the storyline and voiceacting to be fantastic.

Thanks OP, I may have to pick up another copy to replace the one I sold.
 
I got it from target at 29.99

The story intrigues me, but the constant wagging the controller gets very annoyng very quickly

That is why I passed during the TRU B2G1. But if I saw this at $15 I might be tempted to give it a go. But to those who have not played it, play the demo before running out for this deal.
