The price of food continues to rise unabated.

Is it the loss of value for the dollar against several currencies, the mismanagement of government funds (paying farmers to keep 40 million acres fallow), people cashing in on the biofuel craze or the end of civilization?

Honestly, who cares?

However, how are you planning for food riots if they ever come?

1. Welfare. (Food stamps, bread lines)

2. Forced weight loss. (I could lose 60 pounds without being considered unhealthy. The wife could do the same.)

3. Hording in freezers and holes in the ground.

4. Cannibalism. (There's good eating on that corpse.)

5. Hunting. (Anything not human.)

6. Theft.

7. Joining the government.

8. Converting your lawn into a garden.

7. You can't just *join the government*, so your SoL if your not in a government job now.

8. Doable however you will have to keep guarding it from thieves and other animals who want food too.

Frankly. There isn't a great deal of difference between a zombie and a person who hasn't eaten in two weeks.

Granted, a starving person won't go straight for your brains, but said person isn't going to be part of an orderly line if there is food nearby.
