For the main event: Pixar vs. Disney

Cant wait for Robots...Anything with Robin Williams has to be funny as hell
Yup... especially this!!!!
And Dead Poets Society! Oh wait nevermind...

I too am one that enjoyed The Emperor's New Groove. I didn't think it was all that bad and should have done better. I also thought Lilo and Stitch wasn't bad either but Home on the Range and Treasure Planet were just horible. Just utter Garbage. I think Disney is going to look back on this in a few years and think of what could have been. They should have just taken any deal that Pixar through at them. I mean, they still have merchandising from those Pixar movie which make a lot of money. From the trailers that I have seen of Chicken LIttle, it just seems horrible. The animation and graphics don't even look like some of the earlier work that Pixar has done. It, to me at least, looked very jaggy. Very sub-par viduals when compared to what Pixar has given them I think the Disney CG is just going to sink when they really started rolling out movies. Like others have said, Disney doesn't seem to be able to sell a story any longer. Disney is not being creative anymore like they once were. Like someone else said, Pixar is out-Disneying Disney.

I truly hope that Pixar does. They deserve it.

Unless I am mistaken Lilo and Stitch did pretty kick ass business. A glance at www.boxofficemojo.com shows it did $273 million worldwide. Which is impressive for a non-CG film nowadays.
Didn't they turn around and make a crappy sequal?
They made Stitch!: The movie which ties in with the TV show. Mostly crap.
You're right about that. They'll come out with a good movie that doesn't need sequels or if it does deserve one and then turn the franchise to crap.
...I thought Emperors New Groove was hilarious...didnt make money, but it was comedically brilliant.

That said, im so happy to see Pixar being stronger than Disney itself....

Pissed at Disney? www.SaveDisney.com
I agree. What I really want to see happen is Pixar buy up all of the former Disney traditional animators and start a traditional animation studio. Pixar films aren't good because the CG is so good (although it is damn fine CG), it is because they are able to create wonderful characters and stories for all ages.

I've been trying to find a site in-between customers and overall work, and i just cant. A group of laid-off Disney Florida animators set up a new studio, Legacy Animation (something close to that) and will be creating a new animated film. The neat thing is that the creation progress will be shown online
