For the Montgomery CAGs...

CAGiversary!
I was in Toys R Us tonight, and scanned prices for Fatal Frame III and Final Fantasy IV. Both of these rang up for $9.98!! I hope somebody that wants these games can grab them...there was only 1 copy of each remaining when I left the store (about 9:30) so act fast. Sadly nothing else I tried scanned for less than full price, like Okami, Steambot Chronicles and Suikoden V (yeah I know, these 3 were just wishful thinking on my part). Glad I decided not to buy Fatal frame III online last week.

For those interested - Walmart in Wetumpka has Wii's instock (and wiimotes, classic controllers, etc). I picked one up there an hour or so ago. They still had 2 or 3 systems left. They are not in the case with the Wii games, they are in the glass cases under the ipods/mp3 players - happy hunting

Anyone interested in a gaming radio show local to us? I'm thinking of getting one up and running in February. It'd be broadcast on 1170 WACV...the reception isn't so good at night, however, we stream, so that'd be the solution. We also have an 800 number as well so for those out of towners, you'd be able to contribute as well. I'm just wondering if there's any interest right now.

That's interesting... I'd come in and talk some shit, but the FCC would fine the hell out of you for my language :)

Six second delay, buddy. I'd dump the audio and hang up on you before it went out live.

Still, I'd love any and all input, so long as we keep it clean. Bash whomever you like, but just do it without the profanity and we're fine.

Shite.. it was just a damned joke. I know about delays and actually hate the censorship of terrestrial radio, but actually respect AM stations for not being your typical corporate goob (Clearchannel, Cumulus, etc.) kinda gig.

As for my bashing.. it'd probably end up attacking the Montgomery city council and it's 10% mysteriously appropriated sales tax (keep in mind..when buying a new 360 game in Montgomery, 6 bucks of it is going to local bull shit) if anything, local politics, satire of local gaming (we have had a shooting here over a game of Madden), etc. Honestly, doing a local radio show on gaming will have a likely net some very rabid/standoff-ish teenagers willing to threaten someone's life over an opinion on Nintendo.

Not sure. The station isn't advertising it. It's just me getting it out to my regular forums and seeking an audience really. And with that station, you can't hear anything after dark as it is, so it's pretty much stream it or nothing.

New Show tonight at 7pm Central LIVE from Montgomery.

We're giving away an autographed "Fortune" figure from MGS2. If you'd like to listen, just go over to MouseLook for all the details.

Hope you all got in on the BestBuy dvd glitch. I got V for Vendetta, Enter the Dragon, True Romance, Boogie Nights and 4 of the free tickets to see 300, all for $21.98. This worked as of 1pm today. Anybody else get anything?

Well there were select dvds last week that were buy one get one free. I believe this week the same dvds were on sale for $9.99 each. The thing is, the b1g1 is still in as well as the 9.99 prices. And on top of that they have free preview discs of 300 that come with a free movie ticket. I grabbed Boogie Nights, Enter the Dragon 2 disc, V for Vendetta 2 disc, True Romance, and 4 free tickets to see 300, all for $21.98! Check the dvd deals forum to see if this is still happening, and take advantage if it is! This is deal of the year for me so far.

I've raped BB in the past 3 days. While everybody was there yesterday morning with their lists for games, I was getting even more DVD's. I've pretty much gotten one of each title, and am very content with having two tickets to see 300 with the girlfriend. I saw at least two people really pissed about the games not being there.. I seriously doubt they were CAG's. I saw some guy buy up all the MotoGP's while I was ringing up as well, and get mad that Prey wasn't on clearance.. I don't think he was a CAG either.

Not only that.. but I stuck them on the Denon HTiB price mistake and actually got them to match the price for $269. As for the games, I still have to swing by and price adjust MotoGP and Sega Casino.. but the store didn't have much to begin with. I would've liked to have snagged a couple of the $2 360 games, Painkiller, or MGS3:S.. but I'm happy. Now if only Monoprice would get more HDMI cables in stock for the new Denon DVD player!

Damn if this is still happening Im going back Wednesday morning. Oh money in my wallet, I hardly knew you.

Have they had One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest at all lately? I haven't seen it a single time; that's probably the only other one I want. Too bad more sets aren't part of this; I'd easily snag Memento, Gandhi, etc. I could never justify picking up the collector's edition of it since I have the old ass single disc edition. I have to go by there later on today though to price adjust MotoGP and Sega Casino.

Well, I went in on Wednesday night and the glitch has been fixed it seems. Still, $10 for some of those titles is a great deal. I ended up getting One Flew Over..., Constantine, Batman and Batman Returns along with 4 more tickets for 300 for a tad over $40. Still aint bad. The glitch was fun while it lasted. And Skylander, I got the 2 disc edition of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and there was 1 more left after I got mine. Look not on that front row right when you walk in, but in the regular drama section. I believe it was on the top shelf in that section somewhere.
