The new Lotus is very fast.
I heart the Lotus 2 Seven but, I decided to splurge and upgrade it. Now it sucks. Gonna go back to stock.

I'm not sure if this has been asked or not, and if has I'm sorry but I found someone selling this cheap on craigslist, but it the disc only, and it only 1 disc. I'm pretty sure the game is a 2 disc game, is the 2nd disc needed for anything or was it a bonus disc?

what does it install? is it just extra tracks/cars? I imagine they can't require a install for people who don't have HDD.

But from the sound of it I'm missing out on a ton of stuff without having the 2nd CD, guess that a good reason why he was selling it for 10 bucks.

Those 29 tracks are from 3 road courses segmented, BTW. There's still plenty of game on disc 1 if you're interested as it has over 300 cars and the rest of the tracks on that disc. Disc 2 isn't a required install. It's completely optional from what I've read and you can even pick and choose what you install.

You *need* the Nurburgring!

Fujimi Kaido is kickass too.

Can't you buy the 2nd disc cars at the Auction House to get around not having a second disc?

Those tracks are so motherfucking awesome.

The Hyundai Championship starts today, which means I'm going to be spending the next few days hopelessly trying to get in the top 5. On a side note, I now hate Iberian Peninsula, lol.

Does anybody know if they will ever release extra tracks as DLC for this game? With the beautiful graphics engine and great cars, I would love to see a few more tracks a'la Fujimi Kaido where they are great drives in fictional environments. Heck I would even love to see an "autobahn" mode where they model a section of real-world road in a beautiful area and just let you rip down it. Honestly I could see a whole game on that concept. Take the most beautiful stretches of road in the world and model them, throw in some AI traffic (or not) and just let you drive along, be it at a regular pace, or as fast as you can go.

But really, any extra tracks would be great.

I wouldn't count on anything anytime soon. It's much easier for them to make new cars than tracks. Given their track record with Forza 2, I'd expect a lot of car packs (which eventually turn free) along with very little, if any, support for extra dlc tracks.

I don't think they had any DLC tracks for FM2. I'm not expecting any for 3 either. I'm expecting to get raped multiple times. So far they are doing good in that department...

Man that sucks. I guess I am one of those guys who prefers more variety in tracks vs cars. Or that the stock selection of cars has enough choices for me.

I suppose it's my fault for not researching better but I have been a little let down in terms of additional content for forza 3. I still really like the game (especially after I got my fanatec wheel plus clubsports!) but wish they were a little more on top of things like patches and extra content.

Seriously dude?! I mean they already threw in so much that they needed two discs. I own Forza 2 as well and I found there to be plenty of content for Forza 3. You can't just make a track, but making a few cars is a lot easier on the dev team and doesn't require Q&A or 3D engine input/tweaking.
Yeah but 85 tracks and 350 cars will be on the disc but you will have to pay to unlock them.
man i hate it when theres always a catch to something, is this for sure?
man i hate it when theres always a catch to something, is this for sure?
No, considering this was posted a loooong time ago, lol. You do have to buy the cars with in game credits if you want to upgrade or modify them in any way, but all the tracks are usable. The second disc has roughly 100 cars and 30 tracks that you need to install to the HDD in order to use.

What's included with the disc is fine, I was just saying that I thought there might be more additional content being made available. Like I said though I did not do much research (i.e. I played the original forza for which there was no additional content, and don't know anything about forza 2, but jumped right in with forza 3, so I don't know how it typically goes for additional content)

I would still like to see more tracks though. I know they take longer/more effort to make (although this can be debatable given the work required to digitize and model the cars) but still hoping we'll get something.

Has anybody had any experience transferring game saves to a memory card then to a new console & HDD. My brother and I have shared an xbox for a while, but now I'm transferring all my saves to my new xbox via a 512 mb memory unit and iirc there were some problems in FM2 when people moved saves around. Is this still an issue in FM2 or should I be able to move my game save, photos, vinyls, etc to the memory card with my live profile on it and transfer it to my new xbox, install disc 2 and dlc and be able to pick up where I left off? Before anybody says "use a transfer kit", that isnt a possibility because I need to leave everybody else's save on the old xbox. Also, I have a LIVE connection on the new xbox, so dlc license issues shouldn't be a problem.

I keep some of the game saves and my gamertag on a 512 card so when I go to my friend's house I can get on live with my gamertag and not a guest on his system. I haven't run into any problems although, I haven't done exactly what you're looking to do.
Ok so I'm new to car designs. How can I apply one design to multiple cars that I own?
No one design will fit on each car. But you can create many different vinyls to apply to many cars.

That's odd since I saved the design but when I tried to look at my designs no files were found. I thought people sold and traded designs. Oh I guess the design is attached to the car huh.
That's odd since I saved the design but when I tried to look at my designs no files were found. I thought people sold and traded designs. Oh I guess the design is attached to the car huh.
You should be able to save your design. I don't have the game booted it up at the moment, but there is a way. You can then sell or give that design away in your storefront.

Yeah I can save the design but I can't load it with a different car. My design is available on my storefront as well. Made a Borderlands theme, not really good but thought someone might like it.
Did you make the design using the "Create A Vinyl Group" option?
No I created it on my car and then just saved the design.
No I created it on my car and then just saved the design.
If you use the "Create A Vinyl Group" you can transfer designs in between cars.

I guess no one is playing this game like I was, Turns out I was missing a lot of stuff. Car packs and tracks. :sigh: There goes my pts...

Anyone know where you can find a good tuning guide? When I race the "ultimate" cars (R2, R1 class) they don't always respond like I want them to. I tried some tuning to help address it but aside from some of the obvious things like tire pressure, etc. I am mostly fumbling around based on guesses interpreted from the descriptions provided for each tune. Something a little more systematic would be great.

I successfully made a design using the create a vinyl group and I don't really like it because you can't really design a car with a blank background. Anyways decided to recreate the Raven West livery from GRID and I created the Raven in the "Create a Vinyl Group". Unfortunately due to that I had no way to turn the pieces inside out so it would be facing the right way on the right side of the car, grumble.

You should be able to copy a mirror image of the first side onto the second side .

Yes by mirror you mean import left to right side then yes that is what you do lol. I found that out from the gamespot forums from a google search. Man I wish I knew that before.:whistle2:|

Back from the dead!

Does anyone still race Forza, or has everyone moved on to GT5? I took a break from Forza after getting all 1000 achievement points but am curious to try some online racing out as I have never done that before. Mainly looking for clean fun racing in the mid to lower classes, I am not big on tuning or upgrading- the vast majority of my cars were all driven stock.

Im looking for the VIP, Legends, and two track packs that come with the game when you buy it, my dumbass roommate threw them away. I'll take what i can get, im willing to trade in game cars or money, or willing to take offers.
