After reading some articles.. looks like xbox is trying to compete witht the GT series. The game looks promising.. and i'm finally awaitng a good simulated racing game for the xbox.

Anybody else think this can rival GT4 ?

Before, I would have said that Forza would be pretty good, and make a good run at GT4, but GT4 would be the better game. But GT4 will not have online play... So in my book, Forza is already better.

Everything about Forza at the moment has wowed me, and the online play has me pretty excited. I also like the cars ive seen for Forza more than GT4

yeah, GT4 without online play kinda bummed me out since they have been talking about it for so long. i think forza is in my future

DROOL.

Forza looks great.. but graphics don't get me as hard as they used to. The developers behind GT4 have had years of experience to perfect the physics and controls of their game.. whereas Forza is (as far as I know) made basically by racing noobs. I would love to see Forza do great, but I'd be surprised to see them come up with as tight a game as GT4. However, Forza 2 vs GT5, that could be an entirely different story.

I say Forza all the way. Microsoft knows how to make great games off and online. GT4 team let many peopel down by not adding online play. I wouldn't be surprised if some of those very same fans race over and try Forza. Online play is an important feature for games now.

Well yeah, neither of these games are out yet, so...
When both are out I'll give the head to head comparision. But from an early standpoint GT will probably be better, although I think It's lame they hyped the game with online for over a year only to take it out just before the holiday season, AND to say they'll be an online addition mid-next year. WTF?

Supposedly a Forza demo will be coming with Mechassault 2. As long as MA2 doesn't totally suck - and I'm guessing it'll be pretty good - I'll probably get it.

I agree it's sort of pointless to discuss which is better since both aren't out yet, but GT4's lack of online does swing a point or two in Forza's direction right out of the gate.

Mech 2 will be excellent, I want this game more than I want Halo 2 or anything else this winter. As long as you have XBL.

That question wasn't about which is better. It's about if Forza can rival against GT4.

IMO no. The PS2 has the perfect controller for racing games, that fact alone will probably have me playing GT4 more than Forza.

The Xbox controller is FAR better for racing games. It's all about the analog triggers.

Before either game is out you have to give the edge to Gran Turismo just because there have been 3 killer GT games and Forza is brand new. We'll see for sure when they are both out.

True. The Dreamcast convinced me of that.

But my Logitech Driving Force Pro doesn't work on the Xbox. 8)

If Forza is as good as I hope, I may have to get an Xbox. And if I do get one, who wants to sell me his copy of Panzer Dragoon Orta? And then my wife will have to file for divorce.

I would buy that wheel in a heartbeat for GT games if I could only have a reliable means of mounting it on something between my couch and my TV (that didn't add another couple hundred bucks to the price). But yes, it's very sweet.
