I am FOX Carolina reporter who reported this story. I contacted dozens of Stormfront members, all of whom (with the exception of Bob Whitaker and Jamie Kelso) declined to talk with me for this story because of the believed slant I would put into this story. I hope this can show those of you who have little faith in the media that there are journalists who take pride in being factual and unbiased.

For those of you who live in the FOX Carolina viewing area, I am willing to do a follow-up story to show a better make-up of the people who are members and talk more in-depth about your beliefs. And what did fox have to say about this?

Birckner told Think Progress that she is unsure whether or not she will be doing a follow-up piece and is waiting to hear more from the “local community.” When asked why she didn’t include some voices that were critical of StormFront, she replied she did the story exactly as she was told to and that officials at the network were very pleased with her coverage.

Yes, I'm aware its from thinkprogress but they were the ones who talked to the reporter.
 
I love the subliminal messages that are flashed in that unprofessional children's font

"Some people who read and write at Stormfront are racists and some are not, just like society around you"

"Some of us are worried in preserving our culture and people, and are worried about mass immigration, and it's consequences" (emphasis as seen in video clip)

and then the enigmatic

As for Okie from Muskogee, It's a country song by Merle Haggard. According to Wikipedia:

1969's apparent political statement, "Okie From Muskogee", was actually written as an abjectly humorous character portrait, a "documentation of the uneducated that lived in America at the time, and I mirror that. I always have. Staying in touch with the working class." (Phipps 2001) Later, Alabama Governor George Wallace asked Haggard for an endorsement which Haggard declined. However, Haggard does express sympathy with the "parochial" or conservative way of life expressed in "Okie" and songs such as "The Fightin' Side of Me" (ibid). It should be noted, however, that after "Okie" was released, Haggard wanted to release a self-penned song entitled "Irma Jackson" about an interracial couple; the single was quashed by his record company.

Regardless of exactly how they were intended, "Okie From Muskogee", "The Fightin' Side of Me", and "I Take a Lot of Pride in What I Am" were hailed as anthems of the Silent Majority, and presaged a trend in patriotic songs that would reappear years later with Charlie Daniels' "In America", Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA", and others. But other Haggard songs were appreciated regardless of politics: the Grateful Dead began performing Haggard's tune "Mama Tried" in 1969 and it stayed in their regular repetoire thereafter

Of course it's stormfront, I just found it hilarious.

Your post shed some light on the Okie comment, however I still think it was out of place (what does that song have to do with that segment of the news article).
