Free 2 Piece KFC Grilled Meal with printable coupon

Went there last night and there was a line extended all the way out of the store. Waited there for like 10 min and when I got into the door, the employees yelled out that they had no more grilled chicken and to try again tomorrow. Gonna stop by a KFC near my school later, hope its not jammed pack.

Last night, my father handed me a whole stack of these coupons and said, 'have fun.' I ain't sayin' what happened, I just wish he would use his powers for evil a little more often, and not for boring crap like free chicken. Anyway, I think I'll wait till the madness goes down next week before I do this, since there's a few thousand extra coupons floating around the city now. >.>

Just went to my local KFC, and before I even got in line, a worker told me that they weren't honoring the coupons today, and that they were giving out rain checks. I immediately turned tail and left.

Rain checks for what??? Like they ran out of chicken or something? That sucks.

Anyway, I just had me some free chicken lunch using the PDF coupon!! I even got to pick my own sides! Thanks OP (and Oprah)!

Just had the free grilled chicken meal for lunch at KFC. There were about a dozen people waiting in line and all of them had the coupon in hand. About 10 minutes waiting, not bad.

I went to my KFC today, and they would only honor the coupon from 10 AM - 12 PM and 3 PM - 5 PM. I went there at 1 PM... =(

And they also said that the coupons with 1234 barcode, were not being accepted, sad day, I had that coupon.

I would have tried to fight it if I were you. Might wanna try calling the 800 number from a few pages back, report the store and see what they can do for you.

Oprah controls the masses. She did this all for amusement to see how high the mass hysteria and chaos would escalate for free chicken.
can anybody confirm popeyes takes the coupons?

And is it worth calling ahead of time?
Mmmmmm Mmmmmm i want popeyes soooo bad right now !!!

Went to 2 branches at 12 today for lunch. One of them ran out of chicken and had a sign (hand written by the manager) that they've ran out and to come back when they restock on chicken. The other one isn't accepting the tickets altogether.

So yea...is Popeye's accepting these tickets?

WELL, SORRY GUYS, WE fuckED UP BIGTIME.
PLEASE ACCEPT A COUPON THAT WILL ARRIVE IN TWO-THREE MONTHS INSTEAD.
LOL
the food isn't worth it.

Weird, my local KFC is still accepting the coupons. Hit it today for lunch with a few friends to eat, and then later at night again with my family haha :D

So I technically had KFC for Lunch & Dinner. For free :)

this was awesome. i got 7 people in my house. my wife picked up six meals yesterday afternoon. last night i got another 4. this afternoon we got another 5. 32 pieces of chicken with 32 sides for free. my family ate well...

Seems like the chicken fight between El Pollo Loco and KFC just turned up a notch. El Pollo Loco just released a video on youtube stating that they would accept the KFC coupons only on Mother's Day and give you a 2 piece chicken meal. Seems like a good alternative for those who couldn't use your coupons. I just wonder if they'll accept the "1234" generic coupons.

I still haven't gotten to use my coupons (4 legit and 1234's) I was going to go today but the place looked packed and I was running late. I went to work and everyone was eating KFC..... lol everyone was passing out coupons yesterday and looks like the local place takes 1234's.

I was told they didn't scan them......they just took um and stuck them behind the counter. So why not just copy the regular coupon instead on trying to print copies of the 1234 coupon? If you go to Office Depot or staples and use their nice copiers in the print center it should look like a print out. They won't be free but a $.10 chicken dinner is good darn times!

I'm going friday for sure, i'm craving KFC after seeing everyone eat and talk about it so much lately haha

really? all for 2 pieces of chicken?
and how much ink did you waste? 1 sheet doesn't use that much ink.

Looks like I missed some of the news in the past couple days., but here's that jpeg anyway: http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/1637/kfcoupon.jpg

Yes, it's the 1234 variety, but better than nothing. Sad thing is I actually wanted to try the grilled chicken, haven't had the opportunity yet, and if I enjoy it, would actually buy it at some point.

Maybe you guys who are cashing in multiple (read: more than 3) meals can carpool with the SDers while they hit up the video game stores. I hope you don't mind BO.

Once the PDF version of the coupon was posted on Oprah's site, there was no way to restrict the use to one per person, as was originally intended. As soon as I saw that link I knew it was over. People could literally get multiple free meals a day for the next 2 weeks? Not going to happen.

The backlash on Oprah's site is interesting, but misdirected. I wonder if she will put any spin control on it? I believe that someone at oprah.com put the PDF on the Oprah site because so many people where whining about their trouble printing from the coupons.com site (which was doing it's best to restrict the coupons to 2 per computer). In effect someone at oprah.com sabotaged the promotion by circumventing the coupons.com re-printing restrictions, and now KFC is going to take the hit for it... Nice.

The same terms that applied to the original coupon still apply to the 'rain check', although they have extended the expiration date, so you will still only have about 2 weeks to redeem after you get it. This is KFC's way of still honoring the original terms (1 per person), and not get too much bad press. The only people that are upset are those that were going to rape the offer anyway... :whistle2:#

Edit: several of the local chicken shacks that normally honor anyone else's coupons have also taken exception to this one. Way to go, Oprah!

I never get why people say very stupid things like this. Only honest people never get upset by everyone else ruining something?

I'm kinda late to this. I have a legit coupon that starts with 0227. Does this mean, all the people who made 200 copies of the 123 PDF ruined the deal for the rest of us? And now we have to visit KFC twice to get the free meal? Why couldn't they just make unique bar code on the coupons? Wouldn't have prevented the whole mess?

But in this case, the honest people will get their one coupon in the mail and they even get a free drink, too. Granted, they won't get it today, so they may still get a little upset...

However, the people that wasted all that ink printing up hundreds of coupons are not too happy about the recent change of events... And those that were trying to scalp the coupons (yep, kids are selling these at school, etc) are going to be upset because that is a wad of cash they will have to refund now (or get the snot beat out of them)...

So, relatively speaking, it is the people that were raping this promotion that are most upset with it...

Oprah f**ked it up when they posted the 'generic' coupon on her site because people where whining that they couldn't get the coupons to print from coupons.com...

And, yes, you need to take your coupon to KFC, fill out a form and wait for a valid coupon to come in the mail... But the new coupon will include a drink, too...

Site said you could print up to 4 coupons...

I can see the lawsuit now...

people get 1 free biscut while the lawerys get 70 million LOL

It might be that the chaos this is causing is more interesting than the chicken. My dad tried one yesterday (surprised it worked, honestly), I grabbed the leg, and its.... meh. Too salty, as I originally suspected and passed on when they were giving out just the chicken the other week.

I wonder if this will make Oprah think twice about throwing her money around like this again.

indeed ultimately it was the greed of the people that caused all of this.

hilarious though.. I wonder what the SD/FW forums are like....
Does anyone actually like the colesaw?
I love the cole slaw but never go to kfc . Im not a huge fan of greasy ass chicken.

Well I stopped by today to use my first coupon which was printed legit using the coupons.com printer. They had signs up on all the doors and a sign on the drive thru speaker and windows and yea signs everywhere.

They cancelled it because Oprah.com and KFC totally mishandled this and now they are in damage control mode. At least this way they can limit it to one per household while pissing off lots of potential customers at the same time. They should have just had a free chicken dinner day and been done with it.

took my coupon today and said they couldnt take it. something about an overwhelmng response. I called BS, but oh well. no free chicken for me...

I'm so pissed that they are doing rainchecks. I call bait and switch on that. They have so many people coming to their store that are too lazy and will pay for something that they shouldn't have to. They should at least refund or pay for the postage.
The grilled tasted more like "half-fried" to me. Within an hour it was liquid coming out the back end.
it pretty much was half fried. I cook a lot, and i know that aint grilled chicken, grilled chicken doesnt have cooking oil oozing out of it.. nor does it has a hardened coat of grease...
