Is this safe to get/use on my computer? I ask because I did one of this before and I got awhole bunch of unsafe use from my norton virus protection.

Yes very safe. I use it all the time, and my friends use it too. It was pretty big news when this came out, I guess I should have posted it here.

Winzip them first. This is especially helpful when uploading entire albums.

How's the bandwith at farm?

I can now upload video game trailers and stuff!!!! Hey, maybe CheapyD should get one so in case he needs to have mirror links and stuff.
 
Ugh...password=stupid.

The restrictions on it are annoying IMO...it has to be a word and not all lowercase and not the first letter capitalized? I am so gonna forget the password
 
just put a 1 after whatever you were using, alot of sites require both letters and numbers, so thats what i do to remember it easily.
 
Something to remember: they only allow individual files to be 35MB, and they have restrictions on certain file types.
 
Eh, this is nice, but I have my shitty old Dell to act as a fileserver/webserver once I make the effort to rebuild my website.

Also, shouldn't someone put in the title that its for 1 year only? Do they require you to cancel before they try billing you the $50 for the following year?
 
they dont require your address...so i doubt they could bill you. im just going to use this to host large files that would kill the bandwidth on my real site.

if anyone is looking into making this a real and permanent webpage, you might want to make sure everything is backed up on your cpu for when the year is up
 
Just an FYI for those who don't want to do this (or don't get in) you can use Gmail essentially the same way. Just search google for a reg hack called "Gmail Drive". It's not as good for sharing files with others but it works great for sharing files between home/school/work.

I got 2 emails:

"Subject : Your account will be deleted in 10 days

Warning..

You account will be deleted soon..."

Well they can go fuck themselves.
