Free 512MB USB Flash Drive
heard its a scam good luck
how is it a scam? the worst you can get is junk mail, and i get that on tuesday anyways! just toss it !

they don't ask for a phone or credit card, so you are safe!

THANKS OP!
Damn, I just bought a 1 gig. Thanks OP.
So? You can never have enough USB drives.
I ordered one. Thanks OP.
404 error when I tried to submit, same with a friend.

Damn
they are getting slammed with orders, it's also on the front page if Digg.com
slickdeals members deemed this a phishing site. watch out, probably a scam
Phishing for what, though? Since they didn't ask for an email, social, or credit card number, you could just as easily get the same information out of the white pages. Either way, no big.

Maybe spam has evolved into a physical form now, instead of having a email box full of junk/spam mail or physical mail boxes will be filled with Viagra ads and eharmony flayers. Much like a Pokemon, spam has evolved into Spamakazam with the new ability of paper cut and legit mail block.

Everyone's mail is mostly spam already. A few extra here and there won't hurt.

don't be so doubtful peoples.... it could happen. besides, just think how cool it would be if you actually get one? then the people that bypassed the offer will feel pretty silly.

remember always to give an alternate email address if things like that do happen. i have a seperate address just for this purpose.
Anyone get theirs yet?
Yeah, they landed a helicopter in my backyard and delivered it to me personally!

Seriously, this was posted on what like Friday? You can't expect people to have gotten it 4 days later, especially when most of that was weekend.

Anyway, thanks OP. Like others have said, doubt it will come through... but what can it hurt?

DO NOT DO THIS ITS A SCAM!!!
I'd be very careful submitting information to this site. There's no real contact information, and all of the copy on the site sounds fishy. They say they're 10 years old and based in California, but searching Google and the Yellow Pages (switchboard.com and yellowpages.com) doesn't turn up anything.

The site was just set up on September 25, 2006, and looks to me like a way to gather names and addresses.

The consensus seems to be that it's a scam.

And your point is?

Even if this is bogus, if they want to spend the money to send me junk postal mail, I don't fucking care. It's not like it's more spam being sent to my email.

And then if they give you prepaid return envelope, just send it back empty. BAM! They just paid postage both ways :D

No no no, send them the credit card applications from other compainies. You're not interested, but they might be.

well...oh wellz and recently my main account (yahoo) has been getting spam....thanks to things like this and free magazines but it doesn't really bug me I'm only 15% out of 1GB XD
No no no, send them the credit card applications from other compainies. You're not interested, but they might be.
Actually, I have considered doing this, but alot of times, my name is automatically printed on the application. What I usually do is send the envelope back with a note inside saying "No Thanks"

my friends and i actually sent pizza crusts in the envelope and stuck it in the mailbox once. if it even got mailed, they would have had to pay the extra postage for those crusts...

Weaksauce,

I have dumped sand in those puppies. They learn not to send me mail real quick.

:applause:

I like to send anthrax.

I signed up, but what ever. I always sign up with a fake name. Its hella funny when they try calling my phone number asking for that name though.

Don't companies sell other companies people's contacts and address and in turn you get more spam in your email/mailbox?

Let'em. If they snail mail me, they're just wasting their own money on the false demographic information I always put in, and if they email me, it just goes into a junk email account anyway. I'll take the potential for getting free stuff in excange for occasional messages addressed to I. Roxxor and Mike Hunt. ;)

I always use a pop(dialup) site from my work as the phone number. Good times for them

That's a good idea...I usually give one of the local weatherlines.
