That's the dumbest thing i've ever heard of in my life.
That's seriously the dumbest thing i've ever seen.

It isn't that dumb, is it? I mean, if you don't have the space for a pool and enjoy swimming as a workout, I can see this serving a purpose. Not sure how easy it'd be to maintain the perfect speed to keep with the current, though...

What would you do if you walked home and saw someone swimming and going absolutely nowhere?
What would you do if you walked home and saw someone swimming and going absolutely nowhere?
I'd literally probably say something like, "Hmm, that's pretty cool. Probably more fun than a treadmill."
They also have larger versions in adult (senior citizen) communities in their pool areas. They're actually pretty cool. But like someone else said, in something that small, it's gotta be hard to keep a constant steady pace while swimming.
I'd love to have one of those things. But they are uber-expensive I believe. Plus buying a treadmill and leaving it sit in the corner is bad enough, buying one of these pools and leaving it idle for years would be even worse
lol I'm not sure if this qualifies as a "DVD Deal" though... I mean, it's a commercial. I've got a free DVD at home that shows why US Window Factory makes the best windows in the NY tri-state area. Anyone want it?

The main difference being that a treadmill sitting in a corner is just taking up space while the endless pool is still a pool regardless of its intended use. Kind of like when Mitch Hedberg says, An escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. You would never see an "Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order" sign, just "Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience."
Either way, I think this would be cool as hell to have, especially indoors where space is limited.
I can understand why someone who is physically active MIGHT try it, it is basically a swimming treadmill, I personally would never purchase such a thing, I have my own in-ground pool anyway
