Campus Gamers at Cal. State Univ. Bakersfield is holding the 2012 Education and Gaming Symposium on Friday, May 4 at CSUB's Dore Theater. Admission is free. Parking is free. We're giving away an Xbox 360 console, plus 50 gift bags to random attendees.

Speakers include:
James Portnow - game designer, prof. at DigiPen Univ., owner of Rainmaker Games and writer for the hit webseries "Extra Credits".
Leslie Redd - Dir. of Educational Programs at Valve ("Learn With Portals" program). She also gave us a bunch of Portal stuff to give away (in the swag bags).
Geoffrey Zatkin - President and COO of Electronic Entertainment Design and Research (EEDAR).
Christine Cruz-Boone - Prof. of Communications at CSUB.

They'll be talking about how games can be used to improve education.

If you're in the Bakersfield area, or even Fresno to L.A. (it's a 2 hour drive), you're invited to hear their presentations and ask questions at the Q&A.
