Free Frosty @ Wendy's 5/13-5/15: Fingers may or may not be included

Awesome, I got free Frostys when they were responding to the finger thing while I was in CA, and I'm totally going to have to drop by Wendy's to get my free Frostys here in MA. Thanks OP :)

I am a big guy and they are big enough for me. I never understood how some can eat a half gallon of ice cream but can only eat a 4 oz steak.

One per person, I'm guessing? They've said in the news no purchase is necessary. Though if you go back to the counter, I'm sure they give you another one. (To give you an idea, I went back to buy a small Frosty (craving for more), and they gave me another free Frosty :p )

btw, this promo really helped their sales in CA when I was there a couple weeks ago. The Wendy's were barren before that woman was caught, and the weekend of the promo they were pretty busy.

According to this article, the free Frostys helped boost sales by 15 percent in the northern CA area, which is probably why they're doing this promo all over the nation now.

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully Wendy's can rebuild their customer base. Heard that sales dropped quite a bit during the brouhaha.
 
Doh, I forgot about this, we ended up getting pizza for lunch at the office. Oh well, I can try to stop by tomorrow when I go to TRU.

Any bets that this whole thing is a publicity scam being pulled by Wendy's in order to drive up traffic? I can just imagine a board meeting about this...

Exec 1: Our sales are not rising up fast enough.
Exec 2: I know, let's pull a stunt where we hire an actress to claim that she found a finger in a frosty..
Exec 1: How is that going to help us?
Exec 2: Well you see... we then offer FREE small frosty's for everyone.
Exec 3: I see where you are going... those people getting a FREE small frosty will most likely will buy OTHER things.
Exec 1: That is brilliant.... imagine our sales going through the roof meanwhile everyone thinking that some poor woman really got a finger in her frosty. Let's go for it.
 
Picked up my frosty after donating blood at the Red Cross. I got a donut from them after I finished too. So I had a pretty good lunch.
 
I ordered 2 of their value mennu burgers and they gave me 2 frosty's!!!!
put them both in a cup and it nearly made one whole one.
 
Just read the smoking gun article and the artilce linked by judyx3 right above this post. Talk about slimey people.

I think I saw that lady on one of the national morning shows (ABC) right after she made the original complaint.

You can ask for as many as you want. They are required to give you a free frosty. And no purchase is necessary.
 
Got a free Frosty tonight. Damn good!

I actually went in with my gf and the conversation went like this:

Me:"Hi, we'll have the free frosties, please"

Wendy's Lady: "Oh yes" *smiles and looks at me, like she's waiting for my order*

Me: "That's it!"

WL: "Oh, nothing else... okay..." *kind of frowns and walks away*

Ha, trying to shame me out of being cheap!? Never happening.
 
I'm up to 5 for the day, I was running errands all over town so I'd hit every one I passed. I think I made myself sick though. It must not be just regular ice cream. Something evil is added. Maybe a preservative.
 
I just got me my first free Frosty for the weekend. I was thinking it was going to be the $.99 Frosty but instead they gave me a dixie cup with frozen goodness. Oh well it fixed my craving.
 
got mines 2day, got one for me and one for my gf, i just asked if i could get two through the drive thru, i was thinking they would give it to u without asking but i had to ask

and yes they are very small, like a yogurt cup size, i wonder what they use those cups for if they werent giving away the free frosty

The cups are used for kid's meal frosty's, when someone wants the frosty instead of the soda or milk with the kid's meal
 
just got back from a wendys in Fort Wayne indiana and the lady said that I could order as many as I want. She also said she told that to someone else earlier and the manager yelled at her and said she can only tell the customer that if they ask.

so unlmited technically but probably YMMV

LOL im with you I drive by 2 wendys a day in my daily routine and they gave me like 5 at one time
