So, when I stopped into work today, my buddy I work with hands me Gears 2, sealed and everything. He owed me $20 from a month ago, and instead, offered me this. I gladly took it since it was a $40 difference in my favor.

Now the reason I opened this thread is because I'm taking it to Gamestop to put towards Mirror's Edge tomorrow, and I read on the front it comes with map codes. Does anyone need them, or are they standard with every copy.

PS - Before I get a flame war on why I'm getting rid of it; I don't own a 360. :applause:

They pretty much come standard with every copy as of right now. I'd open it up and take out the Code if I were you. Check out what the ebay prices for these things are. 40-50 Bucks for just the code is nuts.

Unless it was used or pirated. Then the code, could come in pretty helpful.

P.S. I would not be surprised if you could get $40 for it in store credit - have them put that to the card, and then turn around and preorder mirrors edge for the addition 20 %, giving you $48 in credit, leaving 12 + tax for the game.

Actually, I didn't even see a code inside the box. I found out yesterday that it was supposed to come with a code for about 3-5 maps. But its ok if you want to sell it here on CAG. :)
 
Wait, is this same code that comes with copies of Gears 2 Limited Edition?

And if every copy is supposed to have the code than why are people paying $40 for them!?
 
wow, it's really selling for $40? i could never do that to CAGs.

I'll think about what I want to do with it, but like any other code I get, I will probably do a contest or a code trade (really want the 2 code packs for Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm)

eh, 9/10 i trade on here as opposed to trading in, but i want to pick up mirror's edge tomorrow, so i'm keeping the code and getting rid of the game

Edge ships tomorrow, in stores wednesday :)

It actually shipped out today and is in stores tomorrow (Tuesday). Pretty sure, anyway.

i called my gamestop and they actually got it in yesterday, they are ready with it when they open today...along with COD: WaW

Actually, if breakingcustoms could find 4 filler games, they could get 30% more for it or in other words $12 MORE in credit. This is with the current trade deal from Gamestop.

Many of us have been cleaning out our local Hollywood Video stores of flippable games and amassing INSANE amounts of credit @ GS(over $300 here already from four or five trips flipping) just doing this the past week or so.
 
well, i did find a few of my GC games for fillers and got $42 for GoW2. i kept the code and it's on my list, i'm asking for very reasonable things for the code, too...not a lot
