Free Helio Heat cellphone @ FYE B&M - No Rebates/Contracts required

So I did this today and got 3 phones (2 black, 1 gold).

In the Orlando area, the FYE in Fashion Square Mall had the deal and phone at $50, and I got the $50 card with it. First the person said I needed to activate it, I told the cashier it was a gift and that I didn't have the information necessary to activate it there. This worked well, however when I asked "This might be a bit of a stretch, but.." to get another phone with the gift card, they told me I couldnt do that.

So I went to the Altamonte Mall, and the FYE there had the right price and the deal as well. I used the gift card from the first FYE, got the phone, then asked if I could use the new gift card for another, the cashier had no problem with this.

So at the end of the day, I payed $50, got 3 Helio Heats, and $50 FYE Gift Card.
 
I tried it at the one in the mall in madison ,tn. They guy said I had to pay for it then I would get the gift card, not including tax...

If you got the cash, it is worth it... especially if you can use the GC to get another phone. Then you can sell the phone(s) and GC on eBay and get your money back + a tidy profit.

As far as the quality of the phone, I really don't like the fact that the memory is not expandable. I like that about my KRZR, it has its internal memory and I can throw in a 2GB MiniSD for some music (or whatever) on the go. And to say the KRZR is less in quality because it is tethered to a carrier like Verision (or Sprint in my case) isn't valid, the Helio is married to it's Helio service.
Either way, the whole thing is moot since all I want is to sell the Helios... which I was able to get two more of just a few hours ago. ;)
 
I want to do this but I don't really like Fye and Don't think having a cell phone that is pointless is nice to have around and yeah Fye = full of idiots so its not like it will work but has anyone done it at the Walden Galleria Mall (NY)
 
Picked up one here, they said it was the last one left. It came out to 0.00. They let me use the giftcard on the purchase and there wasn't any tax.

Had trouble at only one store (usual one in South Attleboro, MA where the girls probably can't tie their shoes by themselves and the guys except for Brian were raised by animals it seems), but otherwise I snagged 9. Two from each store, except for one. Still have one more store to hit. I'm thinking of getting two more to keep mine and sell ten, and then use the remaining giftcard to buy some games during B3G1. As it stands now, it's $50 cash for 9 phones and a $50 gift card. Good overall but getting two more would be even better :D

I just called, and the employees were pissed off, because I had to tried to persuade them on the deal. I was told that I had to pay 200 some dollars for the phone and then I get the gift card.

You can't use them on Verizon and you can't use them on Sprint, Helio has it's own network.
 
From what I gather it's almost impossible to put it on Sprint but tons of people have had luck getting it on Verizon as long as you have a CSR override for the ESN. You can't use data though, only voice.
 
If anyone wants to hook up a CAG with one at actual shipping + a few extra bucks please PM me. I would really love one! I'd actually use it too.

I was told you need to activate the phone in order to get the GC, they were pissed I said I just wanted the phone. I tried arguing but they refused to honor the deal
 
Just tell them that you want to give it as a gift and don't have the necessary info or that you want to use the myspace online activation deal and would rather do it from home to get the better price.
 
Way to be a CAG and sell them for $40 shipped :applause:

I guess maybe I'll go check tomorrow at FYE to see if its still available... anytime I try one of these things on this forum, it never works out for me haha... but we'lls ee whath appens!
