I just noticed this interesting deal that Best BUy.com is having this week with the release of the Final Season on DVD/Blu Ray.

Online (8-29-10), there states an offer: Buy Lost season 6 on dvd/bluray get any other season $20 off DVD or $25 blu ray.

What is interesting is that the DVD Seasons 1 through 5 is marked for $19.99. So potentially if you are going to purchase season 6 on dvd you can get essentially get one past season for free.

(You need to get both the DVD for season 6 and past season for this to work properly!)


this offer is great for anyone out there that is a lost fan like me! ENJOY!

one other thing also Best buy is getting an exclusive bonus disc. Not sure on the extras but probably similar to their bonus discs from the past seasons!

Hmm... you know what the prices on the Blu-rays are? I don't see the point in acquiring an SD copy of something that was shot in high def. And we're all on the Internet here. All the Lost seasons are already free...
 
It looks like both seasons have to be the same format to work. I tried adding season 6 on blu & season 5 on dvd, and it didn't work. Made both of them dvd sets, and it took off the $20. So if you're planning on getting season 6 on dvd anyway it's a good deal, otherwise not.
 
wonder what would be the best season to pick up for retrade vaule..

Or you could always pick up 2 seasons and return the 2nd one for 9.99 off

meaning season 6 for 27.99 DVD alone

the legal free streaming seasons are compressed garbage, even the "hd" official streams from the site.

if you are referring to 720p rips then you are a scumbag pirate

I am indeed a "scumbag" pirate and proud of it. I could have the raw 50GB 1080p Blu-ray rips if I wanted to... I have over 10 TB of space on my serverfarm. :)

At this point I only obtain physical copies of Blu-rays to support the format I love, collection value, and to save some hard drive space. ;) DVDs are utterly worthless to me.

Too bad the blu-ray prices aren't good. Good deal for DVD version though.
 
I totally thought this thread said buy Season 6 and get seasons 1-5 free. I was like holy crap I'm going there ASAP! Oh well... Never have watched an episode (except for the last, but I was drunk), never will
 
I saw the $19.99 price on the 19th. I don't know if I could've bought it then and then waited until today to try and get it free. I don't know if that expired the other day, but I thought it went until the 28th, maybe not. When I went in today, there was no mention of every other season of LOST for $19.99. That sucks. The LOST Best Buy exclusive box is ugly. I wonder if the real box is underneath it, probably not. Anyone know? Have yet to open mine and probably won't. But I like the original better. So, did anyone get a season for Free? Didn't work for me. Season 6 was $37.99 and Season 5 was $14.99 (after discount).
 
i got the season for free. it was probably a past sale price that was put on bestbuy.com. i dont think that the promotions were suppose to tie together but they did. i dont think that best buy stores had the sale price. the 19.99 was online only. i went ahead and got season 6 best buy edition and season 4 (since i have the season 5 best buy edition from last yr)
 
My store had a set up in the front with Season 6 for $47.99 (Blu-Ray) and past seasons for $19.99 (DVD). I didn't realize I could get a season for free until I got home and looked at this thread.

Once the slip cover is off the BB exclusive everything else is the same, there is a DVD in the slip cover with some special features but that is the only difference.

Thanks for the info. I checked mine right after posting here, the very top of the box was black. So I thought they just put their "special packaging" around it. Thank the lord. :)
