Promo code terms: Code is valid from 10/10/12 at 12am CT through 10/11/12 at 11:59:59pm CT. Limit: 1 code per transaction, regardless of # of rentals. 1 time use of code only. Code valid at box only for a 1-day standard DVD, Blu-ray DiscTM, or video game rental. Code is not valid online, via app, or for prior rentals. Your payment card (necessary for any rental) will be charged the full daily rental rate for any additional items, plus applicable tax (except for MD rental transactions for which additional tax is not charged) for the first night of rental, if applicable, and will be charged the full daily rental rate for all items plus applicable tax (except for MD rental transactions) for each day you do not return your rental by 9:00 pm local time (at the box) after first rental night. Just got off the phone with a rep. Looks like I should be clear. Was a little bit worry because I used a my dads cards in order to get in on another free rental. I never used that card before and didn't even give an email at check out. In fact when I had notice it wasn't Dishonored but didn't have my phone so had to return back home just to call them up. I ending up having to call twice because I used this promotion and they where gonna just give me only one free DVD rental promotion, call was dropped. After the second call got Two Dvd rental codes.

I did, I forget what movie I tried to rent, but it came out as I think a Scooby Do movie.... I immediately upon noticing that put it right back into the machine and when I got home I emailed them, they should be able to give you another free code hopefully, and maybe block that barcode from being rented until someone pulls it out.

Yeah, they have been pretty good with making things right on the CSR side when a disc is unplayable/scratched. Only problem I ever ran into was a few years back when I returned three DVDs, for some reason their system never marked the third one as returned, and then they tried to charge me like 10 days rental because someone else rented it after me and didn't return it for 10 days. They tried the whole free code business, but I told them straight up they either refund me or I was disputing with my CC and then they did a refund.

I went to a few Redbox kiosks on my way home, Dishonored OOS and nothing else worth my time. Ending up getting the Lorax on bluray...
 
Got Dishonored. Remembered this thread as I was walking out of Wal-Mart and BAM, Dishonored was there!

I'm just glad that the promo code was easy to remember.

should always have your phone when you use redbox...

just wait until the arm DROPS THe item and it never comes out of the box or it never gets checked back in... then is when you panic :)

happened to me 3 times in the past 2 weeks (movie never came out of the box) you can hear the movie being dropped
 
I rented Max Payne from a kiosk a few months back and someone had cut the barcode label off the game and stuck it on the plastic case just well enough that it read it as returned. I got 2 free codes out of it but it sucked all the same.

You choose a game, go to checkout, and there's a button that says "promotion code" you input it there, it applies to your order, then you swipe your card, and take the game.

Got Dishonored tonight. No idea what the game's about, but every website is suddenly talking about it so let's see.
 
Snagged a copy of Dishonored today as well but don't even have time to play it with all this baseball going on. May get to try it for a couple hours later on.

I hear that. My Rangers took the biggest shit possible this last month, so I've got my fingers crossed for the Os and As.

If we get a Yankees/Cardinals Series, I'll kill myself.

Well, since it's 10 years, it'd be 2002. :lol:. Just because it's only been popular in recent years, doesn't mean it wasn't started much earlier.
 
I did the math, I got that it was started in 2002. All I was saying is that it felt like Redbox has only been around for maybe 5-6 years! Time flies I guess.

yea, I don't think I knew about Redbox until maybe 4 years ago. I might have seen it around but never looked twice.

I snagged Dishonored, Sleeping Dogs, Angry Birds & NBA 2K13, all 360. No RE6, so settled for NBA just to snag a few achievements.
 
Thanks OP for the heads-up, I wont get any games, but my wife and I will get to enjoy two free movies at least. I paid it forward by letting the guy behind me last night know about the code, which then in turn after I left, I overheard him telling the guy behind him, cheapness all around :D

Ended up playing Dishonored for only 10 minutes last night because of the A's game. I'm quite the opposite, I couldn't care less if the Giants advanced. Couldn't even get into the story, but it was worth a shot. Will have to pick it up again with one of those free codes.
 
I just tried entering the code today because I was bored and it worked again so for those who missed out, try Birthday again
 
Damn dude, try renting Dishonored again at a different Redbox yet again it stolen!!!! Second time in the past three days. fuck this I'm not rent games anymore.
