Free Nero 6.6 Suite.

It's the OEM though. So you probably won't get the full features.

I bought the OEM of NERO 5.5, and I wasn't allowed to rip MP3s, for instance. You have to pay for another license for that. So beware.

The two products are not the same - the OEM version is the "free" software you get with CD-ROM/DVD-ROM burners. The full package includes the "Burning ROM" software, which is more powerful.

However, if you just want to burn files to CDs and DVDs, the lower cost software will work fine.

What does "capturing to DVD video" mean exactly? Burning DVDs? I have a 1.2 celeron dinorsaur w/ a dvd burner...will that do the trick or not?

* 300 MHz (minimum), 500 MHz for DVD playback, 800 MHz (for capturing to hard disc), 1.6 GHz (for capturing to DVD video)

It means capturing video from a capture card or other video source directly to the DVD. You can capture it to the hard disk and then burn the video later with your system.
