I went with my son this morning at opening time to TRU to take advantage of the ODST promotion, we were the fourth customer in line. When we got up to the counter, the assoc. told me they were out of the figure. I asked to see the manager who then told me they only got eight in, so I asked her where were the other five since I was just number 4. She said IDK and that's it take it or leave it. This was at the TRU at 79th and Cicero in Burbank just outside of Chicago. Anyone else have this problem?:bomb:

I also came in at opening time and wasn't able to get one. The store over here only had 7 action figures total but I just happened to be out of luck.

Yes'r. I walked in the store at 10:05am (5 minutes after opening) and they were already gone. No one in the store at 10:05 left with the figure (or the pre-order Sgt. Johnson code). The cashiers just kept pulling out the ad to all the customers and saying it say "While Supplies Last". When I questioned them on how many they had they replied "4".

I said it in another thread, after I get rid of this $20 gift card I will not be shopping at TRU anymore. First they ran out of Batman:AA before 12 and now this. They advertise great deals and prices but dont have the stock to back it up.

My brother picked up the game for me today while I was at school and told me he got the figure and everything. I was very excited. I got home and he managed to get the gift card and the Sgt. Johnson code and then I looked at the figurine and it was Sgt. Johnson. My brother did not know it was supposed to be the Rookie. and he told me the register wasnt picking up the freebie so he entered it in manually and got it. I was actually there like 5 days ago and saw the rookie figure. so i realized, THEY WERE fuckING SELLING THEM BEFORE THE GAME CAME OUT! i didnt think TRU would do that, maybe Gamestop, but not TRU.

Sounds like a common issue. I personally didn't buy the game, but a friend on XBL did and said he didn't get the figure either.

I went in about 15 minutes after opening and got everything I was supposed to get. Did they at least take the cost of the figure off of the game?

I also was ripped off of my Sergeant Johnson code, which honestly was one of the reasons I wanted to play FireFight. If anyone has any extras or is willing to give one up, It would be much appreciated.

I went in after 10:30 am .. got the gift card and the sgt code .. but no figure .. the cashier is a very helpful and not to mention cute girl and when I stated if I can get a raincheck for my figure .. she was about to give me another $10 gift card so I can buy a action figure from the store .. good enough for me .. thats until the douch bag of a manager said "no" and left before I can start the "who will blink 1st?" contest

then the cashier told me that another truck is coming in tomorrow and she going to check out if more rookie figures comes in .. and if so she going to give me a call .. seriously thinking about asking her out for coffee if she does call back

oh well that pretty much sums up my screwed out of my rookie figure

I got ripped too. My local TRU didn't know what the hell I was talking about.

You were supposed to get the Sgt. Johnson code too? I went to my local TRU during lunch today and fully expected that they would be out of the action figure but all I was looking for was the $20 gift card that I'll be using to buy a game I was planning on getting anyway (Call of Duty MW2). There was a guy in front of me looking for the figure and left without getting anything (I heard him mumble to the clerk that he was going to try another TRU and clerk said "good luck with that, buddy". Anyway, I didn't know to ask for the Sgt. Johnson code. How does that get distributed anyway? On a piece of paper or card or something?

P.S. By the way, the gift card expires 11/14/09 so make sure you're not saving it for Assassin's Creed 2 (release date 11/17) or Black Friday, etc.

Leave, troll.

Wow, sorry to hear that. Seems I was lucky in getting my figure, but I didn't receive a Sgt. Johnson code. It doesn't really bother me that much.. still feel a bit cheated though. I preordered and everything, so I don't get why they had 0 codes.

no issues either getting it but it's left arm fell off twenty seconds after I had it out of the package to give to my kid. It seems to be made of lower quality materials than a the other figures I've seen
