At my local EB they have a little box with the bonus disc. I asked if I could get one and they said sure. I had pre-purchased the game anyways, but they didn't have the bonus disc as of yet, so it is the one they owed me. Still they didn't ask for my reciept or anything. So if you don't want to get Pokemon Colosseum but you want Jirachi for your Pokemon Ruby or Sapphire game, then see if your EB will let you have it. YMMV of course.

Also included is a sneak peek at the next movie and a video preview of the game. The RPG part of it actually looks kind of interesting.

Ya I got this thing at TRU last night for $5 pre-order. I'm hoping that when Best Buy gets these in they will be a penny so I can get a few and return one back to TRU.

I think YMMV is so useless, why must it be posted in nearly every discussion about a real store? Of course someone in the middle of Oklahoma is probably not likely to be as close to a Circuit City as the next person...

Umm, Arakias, I believe you're thinking a bit too literally here. YMMV does not refer to the physical distance between the author of a post and a retailer. Instead it essentially means that your experience may vary depending on the particular store or even particular employee that you check with. In this case, video_gamer324 is clarifying that while his CC has these items in stock for a penny, this may not be a company-wide policy, so don't fuss at him if you go to your local CC and they refuse to sell you the disc for only 1 cent.

The phrase is one that has been in use since the days when usenet was pretty much the only source of open discussions on the internet. It goes without saying that we all have different distances between us and the local Circuit City.

Arakais: D Hogan is right. YMMV is used entirely as a disclaimer so a poster doesn't get yelled at for a deal not existing at a different store by someone else. It's usually assumed, but better safe than sorry.

WhoDey: No, the preview disc is entirely Pokemon-related. It has three things: a trailer of the next Pokemon movie, a preview of Pokemon Colosseum, and the Pokemon called Jirachi for your Pokemon R/S game. There isn't anything playable on it.

A penny? They will probably have them for $39.99. The two BB near me still have the GameCube preview disc with Viewtiful Joe and Billy Hatcher etc. for $39.99.

I just went to the CC by my house and they wouldn't let me buy it. I asked them if I could buy the disc but when the cashier rang it up it didn't come up. So I just asked if I could pre-order Colosseum... the cashier told me CC doesn't do pre-orders. So I asked if I could buy the disc, they wouldn't sell it. So I try to explain to them that if you can't pre-order/buy the disc why are they even displaying them? I get some reply about the cashier just getting the job 2 days ago and not knowing a thing about the video game department.

They have had the Lucasarts demo disc, Rebel Strike bonus disc and more demos discs for a penny. Hopefully this will be a penny too.

The bonus disc was tight for me because of Jirachi... its pretty strong, and the free Advance Link cable from the FF:CC preorder got its first use.

At our EB the disc is for preorders only, but in all honesty, we will have like 10 extras because we're in a college town, no one is preordering Pokemon. Just drop in the day the game comes out, chances are EBs will have extras they will just give away.

i have never seen bonus discs and stuff at my best buy (gilroy,ca)
do they put them with the video games or do you have to ask for it?

most of the time they are mixed in with the regular games, or somewhere around that area. But some stores end up without them because they sell them all for a penny...

The Toys R Us near me had the Pokemon bonus disc's price set at $69.99 so that nobody would try to buy it without putting $5 on the game itself. My receipt even says that I saved $70 on my purchase.
