If you pre-order the new Buzz! game, you get a free quiz pack DLC- unfortunately, you don't get to pick the packs.

Amazon is giving out the "Comedy" pack, and Best Buy is offering the "Video Game" pack.

These packs are about $6 on the PSN, and are compatible with both the new game and the old one (Buzz! Quiz TV).

Nice, I saw this come in my e-mail as well. Probably going to tell my friend to order it at Best Buy and I'll order it from Amazon so we can take advantage of getting both packs.

I tried searching but couldn't find a lot of info on the new game. What exactly have they updated? Or is it just new questions but with the same gameplay?

download the trailer off the store. Buzz now calls you by your name, theres more game modes, more characters, they added online so that you can play with more than one person in your home (before they had online play, but you could only play other players online by yourself). There's a few other features.

Has it been confirmed by Sony that the original DLC will work with the new one? Is there any reason to keep the old game when this one comes out?

Your answer is in the first post. Jesus.

No I don't believe it is. He asked about the ORIGINAL DLC not the new DLC that comes with the pre-order.

Might want to READ again.
"These packs are about $6 on the PSN, and are compatible with both the new game and the old one (Buzz! Quiz TV)."
i can't find where to preorder it at best buy. The email sony said didn't have a link for best buy, only amazon.
I couldn't find it on bestbuy.com. Also, I only see it listed on Amazon for the bundle and not for the stand alone game. Too bad I don't need more buzzers.

Might want to TRY NOT BEING A JERK again. I think we all saw that but that's not what he was asking about. That does not specifically say if the old DLC packs are also compatible with the new game. That says that these packs you get with the pre-order are $6 on the PSN and are compatible with both but it doesn't actually say anything about older DLC packs. Reading is FUN!

Also I do believe he asked if there was any reason to keep the old game when this one comes out (I'd also be interested in the answer to that) which you ignored or replaced with being a jerk.

Dude, process of elimination, deductive reasoning...doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out if those 2 old DLC packs work, that there's a 99% chance the others will as well.

Doesn't take a brain surgeon to be courteous and polite either. I'd never assume that Sony would give something to consumers for free or not try to make people rebuy things they already have. Process of elimination and deductive reasoning don't really come into play here. I'd say deductive reasoning would certainly be useful with a company that doesn't regularly pull crazy shit but process of elimination seems like a random phrase you just grabbed out of the air...

The link DOES finally answer the question he asked and that's all you really had to post to begin with. Wouldn't that have been easier than being a jerk?

For the lazy, "All PS3 quiz packs will be interoperable between BUZZ!: Quiz TV and BUZZ!: Quiz World for PS3! Not only does that mean that any future quiz packs will work with both PS3 games, it means that all of the quiz packs that you have already downloaded for BUZZ!: Quiz TV will automatically show up in your quiz bank when you pop in BUZZ!: Quiz World for PS3."

That's exactly the plan I ahead, I was trying to keep it a secret plan, but not anymore.

Yes I just wanted something official from Sony that said this before I go and pre order this expecting it to work on both games, since there's been little to zero media coverage of this game.

Has anyone seen the case in Best Buy to get this deal on the preorder? I've been to 3 different BB's and none of them have it. Also it's not on the website.

Did they cancel these bonuses? Best Buys deal is looking extremely unlikely, and looks like Amazon has removed it's pre-order bonus as well...this is the second time this month this has happened (the other was for Tekken 6)!

Looks to me that the Amazon preorder deal is still going on:

http://www.amazon.com/Buzz-Quiz-Wor..._1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1257378477&sr=8-1

Kind of scared me there! I nearly forgot to preorder the game and now that I am reminded, I went ahead and preordered it.

I went on the Best Buy website, but I don't see any indication about their preorder deal with the game. Is it automatically included? Hopefully someone can shed some light onto this as I have a friend that was about to order from them so we can swap Packs.

That is really odd, it was gone at the time I posted it...same thing happened with Tekken 6, though. They better honor it!
