Any recommendations for types of ways to get coins?
I dislike offers that make you sign up for a trial with a credit card or force you to install programs that could end up being a virus, but obviously those have the highest payouts

When I started, I honestly just did the Video Offers. It takes time to grind out, but it's incredibly easy to leave in the background while you do something else. Multiple tabs are your friend when it comes to grinding more quickly. Also, keep an eye out for Facebook apps and free MMO sign ups. They're easy points.
Apparently, tasks are very popular these days:
I have no idea how they're grinding out that many points from the tasks. It takes me a lot of active effort to complete a single task. I don't know, maybe these guys know something I don't. You may get some answers from PM'ing them but no promises.
