Wouldn't be terrible if you wanted the magazine, but if you're just going for the headset you're better off just buying it. $12.95 for shipping put me off a bit.

The cheapest price for the headset equals that of cost for the mag and the shipping, unless you pick up one of the 3 left for $29.99. You're basically buying the headset and getting the magazine free.

Maybe it's limited to 7 billion, and they have to wait for more people to be born... limited doesn't have to be a small number. They are just covering their ass for when and if they run out.

EDIT: Oh yeah, the real reason I replied to the thread. Just to say it seems like a pretty decent deal. The headset gets decent reviews and seems like a pretty good setup for someone who is always chatting (it's always plugged into your controller, so if you don't chat a lot that might be annoying).
 
They offered me this deal at the end of last year but instead of 1 year it was 2 years for $60. I did it, why not. Headphones aren't bad, the audiomixer is what I really wanted, the little audio connection port for the x360 controller.
 
soooo tempted to get this, but the S&H is a bit steep. Wonder if the magazine includes the cd/dvds and does anyone know when the headset would be shipped?
I've been looking for a new headset and it might be a decent deal.

There's no DVD anymore - just the magazine.

what about demo discs?
i know they used to include those (I haven't gotten an oxm probably in almost a year now)
 
I used to get oxm magazine back when they shipped the dvd/cds that had demos and exclusive content like special themes and avatar items.
Anyone ever used that headset before ?
 
Decided to pull the trigger on this. Been a subscriber to OXM since the beginning and needed to renew anyway. So $13 for a game headset wasn't a bad deal.
 
Got the 4XB in the mail today. Too bad they don't fit my Batarang controller, other than that they work pretty good.
