Free tacos at Taco Bell (World Series promotion)
That's the idea. If they gave enough to make a person full they wouldn't be making any money, and that's not a very smart business decision, is it?
honestly, they arnt making money this way either, i think they are just trying to fix their rep after the whole e coli incident.

if they made money doing this, during the homerun derby and stuff they wouldnt make their promos impossible to get (i.e hit the ball 600 ft)

Well, I put it in my calendar to swing by a Taco Hell tomorrow...after I pick up my new guitar. Party like a rock star...or something...Thanks for the tip, OP!

for some reason, on my local radio they said tomorrow would be "free taco tuesday" and anybody that went to taco bell would get a free taco

don't know how it would relate (if at all) to the baseball promotion

woo hoo, free tacos, here I come. I'm hittin up all the Taco Bells since they're so close by :D

Too bad the only Taco Bell left around here is up by the mall, out of my way when I go to work. I could make a detour, since I have been been hankering for Taco Bell lately.

And as far as the promotion goes, it is to get people in the door, regardless of what you may think. It goes the same as the McDonald's Monopoly free food pieces. Sure, you're gonna get your free item, but I bet you'll also order a drink and maybe a second taco, or a chalupa. One free taco is a drop in the bucket, and a deal for them if it will get you in the door to buy more food.

My point... I normally don't eat fast food, but had stopped several times on my way to work. I had 'won' 2 winning game pieces for free breakfast sandwiches. I decided that my wife, daughter and myself would go to McDonald's for breakfast one morning. Even with our free sandwiches, after drinks and sides and whatnot, it was still almost $10. The sandwiches probably cost them $.50, now take into account the millions of others that have done the same as us, people that normally don't eat fast food.. Do the math.

While you may be thinking you're getting a killer deal, it's a major profit booster for companies. Overall, it's far cheaper than running ad-campaign blitzes.

Yay, I finish work at 2 so I'll be heading over to Taco Bell which happens to be right next to Best Buy which I also want to go to.
The free taco day is tomorrow October 30th between 2 and 6pm.
Its between 2PM and 5PM, fyi.

Went up to KFC/Taco Bell and didn't even think of this when the lady just asked me out of no where. She seemed pissed that she had to ask everyone. So free taco!

Got mine today...once I got mine everyone came out of the woodwork to get them, some managed to just walk away with just the free taco. I didn't have that much will power.

Ellsbury should've been MVP
my tacobell was packed, not worth waiting in line for probably 30+ minutes for a free taco
Nothing in Taco Bell is worth a 30+ wait, unless it's your only option other than imminent death..."Red Wizard Needs Food Fast!"

Just got back.

I have never seen so many white trash folk in the same place. It was packed and people were just getting the free taco and nothing else.
There was over an hour wait at my Taco Bell. Probably about 500 people in line.
:rofl::shock: :wall:

Yeah, i think id rather go and pay a whole $2 at a good taco place here, than wait to get a free taco from taco bell. Seriously horrible food and an insult to actual Mexican food.

taco bell is delicious....i dont understand why everyone hates it

being indian and all, i always order my food with beans, because it tastes horrible with beef ( i still eat meat though)

i never liked their tacos ever since i got sick from them as a kid, but how can you turn down a crunchwrap supreme? or a 7 layer crunchwrap? chalupas? 7 layer burritos? mexi melts? 1/2 pound bean burrito?

and i dont understand why people are so nervous to take extra sauce packets home....they WANT you to take it...its free advertisement for them

mild and fire suck

hot ftw

bread's done
