TELLTALE WIIWARE SURVEY

Please have your Wii's Friend Code (ie: 1111 2222 3333 4444) ready with you before you complete this survey.

The end of the survey provides instructions for getting your free Tales of Monkey Island WiiWare episodes 4 & 5 -- "The Trial & Execution of Guybrush Threepwood" and "Rise of the Pirate God." Please allow up to 1 week for delivery. NOTE: Limited quantities available!

Your Wii must be connected to Internet (Wii Shop Channel) in order to redeem the free game.

This offer is ONLY for players in North America.

We estimate that these questions will take just 5 to 10 minutes of your time.

This is actually the second time they've done it, they do send you the games. In fact, they actually also gifted me episode 3, too.

I hope your friend code doesn't change. I found mine buried in an email from 3 years ago...

Do note they want you to add their friend code to ensure they can send you the game:
6907 3429 4888 4166

I completed the survey and everything but it didn't give me any notification that it was successful at completion. I didn't receive an email either, is that normal?

Completed the survey. Hopefully, I can get the games. Thanks for the info, OP!

Just wondering, how do they send these games? Thru your Wii or email? Thanks. Added their friend code on mine already.

Through the Wii, they gift it to you from what I heard.

Has anyone actually received the games or any sort of confirmation email? It's been a day, and I haven't received either of these. I've checked my Wii, as well, but no dice. What's going on?

Did you check the Wii shop channel? That's where you download it from.

Thanks for that. I actually got the info from Destructoid, which (along with every other gaming website) was pretty bad at telling me when I could get the games.

I'll be able to wait for a week for these; I've waited longer for less important things.

no problem. All that info is written on the survey page itself. I believe the survey also says that your email address is only used to help people redeem the code if they need it, so that's probably why there is no email confirmation sent to the email you put in.

I just got an email saying they'll give me the code shortly and to make sure I added them as a friend. I also turned on Wii Connect24 since I normally leave that off. I see no point in wasting the extra electricity when the Wii gets so little use normally.

Got it too.

By the way, if anyone missed the news when the wii first came out, it's in the news again (google it), the wii uses a shit ton of electricity in standby mode when compared to most electronics like other consoles, cable box, tv, etc. It is because of wii connect 24 which has almost no purpose. You can turn it off in the system menus and the wii will then go into a real standby mode, doing nothing but waiting for a signal to turn on. It also won't get real hot when turned off. If you turn your wii off and the light is amber, you have wii connect24 on. If it is red, you have it off. Personally, I only turn it on as needed and turn it off when done. The wii isn't exactly the best online console after all.

That said, I'm pretty sure you have to leave it on to get the code for monkey island so leave it on till you get that.

Just my opinion on this....

Edit, here is an article on the subject.
is this still active? I wanna do it but last time I did something like this for episode 2 or 3 I never got it.
No sure fire way of knowing. It says quantities are limited but we aren't sure what the actual number is or how many people did the survey. Nobody has gotten the games yet so it shouldn't hurt to just go ahead and try. The survey itself is like 3 minutes as long as you have access to your Wii and friend code.
Has anyone received their games yet? It's been over a week without as much as a hint about it.
Nothing here yet either...

I haven't received anything, either. Figures, though. Didn't receive anything from the last one.

I haven't received anything yet, but I did receive 2 strange emails from them. They requested that I add 2 new friends codes. Both emails were received in less than 10 minutes apart..

Hello,

Earlier this week I sent you this email and, as I have not had any responses, and do not show that anyone has registered me on their Wii Friends List, I thought I’d send it again. It’s a very limited time offer and I would love for you to be able to take advantage of the Gifted Tales of Monkey Island Episodes. Please note that Nintendo requires that you add me to your Wii Friends List before I can send you any messages or gifts. Again, the Telltale Games Wii Friend Code to add is 0157 2759 4568 8617.

Greetings - Thank you for completing our survey. Your free WiiWare games "Tales of Monkey Island Chapters 4 and 5" will be sent to you shortly.

NOTE: we cannot send you your game if you have not completed this step.

If you have added the friend code (6907 3429 4888 4166) to your Wii's address book, please CHANGE the Wii Friend code for Telltale Games to 0157 2759 4568 8617, as it is from this NEW friend # that the games will be sent.

i got an e-mail last night saying my games had been gifted and for me to recieve them before they expire hopped on my wii and got them on the shopping channel they are ok for free games :)

Got both episodes today, but didn't get an email. I recommend anyone that filled out the survey to check their Wii daily and not just their email. Also, the gifts weren't sent from the original friend code that they ask you to add. They were sent from the second friend code that they emailed me.

I don't have mine yet, and I didn't get an email to change the FC either. Must mean that they don't plan on sending me the games :/

I added the second FC just in case, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I made a mistake, it was actually this friend code that they gifted me from:

0157 2759 4568 8617

Might as well add both of them though.

I haven't been gifted the games yet and didn't get any other emails either, so I added those other two codes.

Same, I hope they gift me the games.
