Free Xbox 360 Games (from Trainn...who is updating slowly)
Does anyone have the cancellation number for your credit report offer? I need to cancel it tomorrow :(
either check your confirmation email or goto the website and under contact to get the number. i mean come on do a little bit of work. or even search this thread.
How was First Club Save? As in how much did it cost, difficulty of canceling, I heard someone earlier claim they were forced to sign up for another offer during the sign up, etc.
well i only sign up for offers that are 2 bucks or less. and yes you do get signed up for another offer when you do first club save, but this is outlined in the TOS so people should not have any complaints.

just dont do extenze over at megafreebie. those bastards hide the fact that they auto charge you 50 bucks for your "free" trial in their TOS. and when you want your money back, you have to wait 45 days because "they have alot of customers". fucking scammers.

I never received a confirmation email :(!!! But I did get credit for it ;)

Free credit report and credit check total were the easiest to cancel ever. I was so happy talkin to the lady, i was surprised how nice she was. Thumbs up to that company for sure. They are the same company so they will cancel them both for you.

Hey everyone, I got a quick question.
I did the Disney offer and got credited a while ago.
I just received the books today.

I'm just going to leave the balance on my card, and not return the books, but I was wondering if this offer signed me up for a monthly payment on my credit card?
As in is Disney going to send me a bill every month?

Yes. Cancel that shit pronto.
Yes. Cancel that shit pronto.
Ouch. Thanks for the info.
I think I mis-read it on Rig's first post, but to make sure, do they bill you 14-21 days after you receive the books, or 14-21 days from when you sign up.

And how much do they charge u per month?
Thanks max pl, but how much is the other offer that you get signed up for?
dont know off the top of my head, but i dont think it was very much. i think it was a small charge similar to what first club charged, ~$2 to 5. if you look in the TOS it may state the price there.

edit: you get charged 2.95 for each of them.

Ok. Thank you once again.

EDIT: Ok I did the offer and I guess I was worried about nothing because I just filled in the information for First Club and then the thank you page came up, no other offer. And I am pretty sure it is $3.95. Unfortunately, it has been a couple of hours and I have received no confirmation e-mail and have not been charged.
I just did Credit Check. How long did it take to credit for you guys? Was it a MCR?
MCR for me, still waiting for it to go through.
I did two offers last week.

If they are no longer there, and I haven't been credited yet, am I screwed, or can my MCR still work?
Why, what an excellent and intriguing question. I, too would like to know the answer, if someone would kindly provide one.

Sorry no one has answered the question. I've never heard of this happening, so maybe that's why you haven't received a response. You should probably contact trainn. The link is the OP.

I'm int the same boat as you. You can send stuff to a different address than you're signed up under, right? I think I'll send my brother a year of live.

i was able to cancel freecreditreport.com and credit check total at the same time.
very friendly girl i spoke with. very easy to cancel.

munch hit the nail on the head. Nobody is going to answer you if the situation hasn't occured. Your best bet it to email Trainn.

If you have the email and such to file a MCR, I *think* Trainn would still accept it. That's probably as good of an answer as you are going to get.

Well TraInn pretty much told me to go to hell in response to my MCR/Support Ticket for Amazing Web Stores. They gave me the same old BS that they needed a sign-up email or a written confirmation. Has anyone had any luck with this offer via MCR or in getting AmazingWebStore/Pacific Web Works to send them written confirmation?

I am calling them one last time to request written confirmation and if I don't get something I'm going to send them and TraInn both a nasty-gram. This is bullshit. No wonder this and all the other offers from this company have been removed from this site.
I just did Credit Check. How long did it take to credit for you guys? Was it a MCR?
I did it on Sunday and it was instant for me. I'm still waiting on my MCR for GotVoice though.

this may sound wrong but i notice all the pacific web emails look exactly the same. what about faking a email. take a old confirmation replace all the names and the dates on it with what fits amazing webstores. and then put in your real login and password...

its super shady but i have no idea on how to get it now.:bomb::bomb:

I hate how hit or miss some of these are. Oh well, it'll just be a MCR. It's my last order before I go over $600 (which I'm not going to do).

Legally I think that is considered Fraud so I don't want anything to do with that. Especially for a $2 offer/$60 game.

That said, I'm still going to fight for this credit. As you can see from below:

Here is why I hate these dicks, I call up Pacific Web Works, CS rep says "Oh sure, I'll send that right to your email" So I keep the guy on the phone and check my email and of course it is the same email that I have received before (just confirming my cancellation, which TraInn will not accept). So I tell him, this is not what I'm looking for, and explain what the email had to contain. So he says "Oh, yea, you need a purchase receipt then". So I'm way to excited at this point and tell him that sounds right and to send it over and I'll take a look at it to verify that it will work for me. So he says "Oh, well those take a little bit of time to send out". So I ask him how long and he tells me I should see the email today. So of course I have yet to see the email and I am 99.9% sure that I will not receive the email he described since I have been told that I would see the email "sometime today" about 3 or 4 times now. Whatev... I think I'm just going to start composing my nasty-gram to TraInn... :bomb:

Thanks Rig and Munch.

Much to my surprise, however, I got credit for both at the same minute today.

Sweet.

Now... what to get? May update should be up in a few days, no?

Last Friday I signed up for one of the drugs (Hypotoxin or something like that), as well as the Blockbuster.com service, and both credited this morning. So I put in my 2nd order for GHIII (I'm going to use the guitar, sell off the 2nd copy of the game), and within half an hour, I received both the order confirmation AND the shipment email!

The shipping estimate is the 10th... last time, the shipping estimate was the 16th, and it arrived four days earlier! I wonder about the reports that TraInn is slow lately...

Whoo, GotVoice MCR went through today, after exactly 14 days.

Now, Trainn, bring on the GH: Aerosmith bundle! I'm hoping they handle the "preorders" through Red Octane for the bonuses; I want the special faceplate. :D

seems yf360g has stepped it up. i placed a order like at 3pm est today and got the shipped email at like 6pm est.

looking good!
Special faceplate? I thought that was for all bundles...
Eh, some of the early info seemed a bit ambiguous. There is also an art book with the "special edition" bundle at Red Octane, for example. I'm not really sure how much of this is preorder/first shipment only...

I had to call 4 times before I finally got something I could use for the MCR on that Amazing Webstores offer. Although I was still within the trial period so I imagine they had more incentive to do so.

From what I gather they have one guy doing tech support, and he's the only one with the necessary access to the system to send things like that out.

I did get credit with my MCR though, so good luck!

So whats the word on returns lately, theres nothing I really want for quite some time so I'm thinking of just grabbing a game and returning it for credit to use on Mario Kart.

Wow, glad to hear someone got a response from them.

Any chance you can give us any tips as to who you talked to, what you asked for and/or what you received? I called again yesterday and once again they sent me the cancellation confirmation that I have received a couple times already, so I told them that was not what I needed and the guy says "Oh you must need a Purchase Receipt" and says he will generate one and I should receive it in the next 24 hours. Sure enough, I still haven't received anything. After reading your post, I wonder if I'm even talking to the right person or if they are even making an attempt to send something (I'm thinking at this point they are just hanging up on me and laughing)

Thanks for the help!

EDIT: Holy crap! I just got through to them again and had them send the "purchase receipt" to an alternate email address and it came through immediately. My original account was a yahoo mail account so possibly that was causing an issue. I had them send it to my gmail account and it came through immediately. If anyone is having problems getting a response from Amazing Web Stores I suggest trying this out, but make sure you keep the CSrep on the phone until you get the email.

Now does anyone think they will give me a hard time because the email headers have it going to a different email address? (The body of the email does have my email addy from the YF360G site so that is good.

WTF

I signed up for Amazing Web Stores in early April, didn't get credit or a confirmation email. I submitted an MCR with everything I had from them, and followed up with a support ticket. Here's how that went:
---------------------------------------------------
Question:

I know MCRs belong in the MCR area, but I wanted to provide supplemental information. In my MCR for Amazing Web Stores, I said they never provided me with a confirmation email, so I pasted in a "forgot password" email to provide an email with headers regarding my account. I wanted to also provide a copy of the onscreen account confirmation I received on signup, which I saved as an HTML page. I hope this is sufficient to provide account details and signup time, as despite my request, their customer service never provided me with a confirmation email. Please see below:

Response 1:

Unfortunately, we are unable to pursue a missing credit request with a lost password email or web page.

In lieu of the sign-up/welcome email, to pursue a missing credit request, we would need a written confirmation from the advertiser that includes a member/account ID, product/service ordered, and the date of sign-up.

To obtain one, we would recommend contacting their customer service department via phone or email and requesting they provide a written confirmation to you.

Once you have obtained a written confirmation, you may reply to this ticket with it and we can further pursue your request.

Response 2:

I have already requested such an email by phone once and by email twice. Clearly they do not provide confirmation emails like the one you're requesting. What else can I do? I was charged for this service. I've provided an email with headers from the company, as well as my member ID, the product ordered, and my exact date of signup to the second. I don't understand why that isn't sufficient to pursue an MCR, and I don't see how it's possible to provide more.

We cannot pursue a request with several documents, each listing different information. We must receive a written confirmation from the advertiser that contains all of that information.

So, the last response two weeks ago was basically, "tough luck, can't help you."

I happened by YF360G today, and I was credited for Amazing Web Stores yesterday. I'm not complaining, but I wonder what happened there...

When I was calling to get a confirmation e-mail from PW, the guy on the line said they were having some issues with their system. Before when they closed an account it was almost instant, but that time when I cancelled AWS, it took about 5 minutes on hold.

I imagine that's what caused so many headaches about not getting credit for the signup.
Is ShopDani.com a new one? I searched the thread and OP for "dani" and came up with nothing. $9 for a credit isn't too bad.
I've tried it many times, but it keeps declining my credit card.

WOW! Congrats on that! I'm fighting it out with them now, but at least I finally have the email from Amazing Web Stores. So hopefully mine goes through quickly.

I think its funny how these offers from Pacific Web Works have caused TraInn all types of headaches, to the point where they have pulled them from the site. Yet they keep hardballing everyone who tries to file an MCR for them.

Anyone think we should see an update soon (this weekend)?

Thought someone posted that Allan said it would be the end of May.

Of course they are going to "hardball" you. If PWW doesn't pay TRAINN, TRAINN isn't going to pay you. If you don't have proof, TRAINN can't get their money, it is as simple as that. That is why PWW is trying so hard to hold the confirmation e-mails back; they don't want to pay up.

I'd guess PWW pulled out from their deal with TRAINN because the sign-ups must have cost them a lot, and hardly anyone stays with their "offers." I don't think TRAINN minded getting all the money for the 4-5 PWW offers people were doing.

I hear ya man, but at some point doesn't it come down to conducting ethical business? Both of these companies are making plenty of income from their participation with the site. PWW gets some subscribers who actually stick with the "offers" after their trial period is over and they get to bill out their 59.99 per month (which is probably 90% profit for them). TRAINN gets paid based on their referrals signing up for offers (and probably make even more when people stay on past the trial period). So now some rift came about between the two and its us, the consumers who are left to fight for what we are owed. Meanwhile PWW's systems crapped the bed and didn't send out confirmation emails to a number of people that signed up so instead of making it right, they try to avoid us, and then will not comply with multiple requests for the emails after the fact. TRAINN has an easy out, they hide behind the fact that they "will only take the confirmation email" even though there is substantial evidence that we signed up for the offers.

Whatever... I guess when we look at this type of business model it doesn't exactly fall into the top tier of "ethical" businesses, considering it is a pseudo-scheme to trick people into monthly CC billings for products/services. Oh well, I've already had PWW charge me even though my account was no longer active and now TraInn is pulling this hardline so at least I know what to expect going forward. Like they always say "let the buyer beware"
