Omg I never want to deal with Media Mogul again, cancellation took forever on the phone. On a side note, waiting for Ivory White to credit, signed up yesterday around noon.

anyone else just absolutely love this site? im not an offer-site-obsessed person - i only use yourfree360 and used to use ipodsweepstakes when it was good. yourfree360 is just TOO easy, ive gotten $500 of amazon cash from returning all the junk, kinda feel bad for them :D

From my experience, Bureau Tools RX does not work. I've signed up twice, and both times I have not been charged, have not gotten an email, and have no account on record when I call their customer service number.

Just a heads up.

Has anyone tried Government Grants? I couldn't find a trial duration or cancellation number on their page so I was wary of signing up.

Also, ProtectMyID is the same as Credit Check Total, FYI.

I tried Grant Connect on the 30th. It hasn't been credited yet, but on my PayPal VCC(the card I used). A temporary hold was placed and it was removed today so the payment went through. So on PP it says that I payed for it YESTERDAY. I guess since yesterday was a holiday, it will go through tonight? I WASN'T charged $1.95 since I declined the offer. I did get the email for MLN though. Just my input.
 
Yea Trainn makes out like bandits, they pay us $30-50 per offer completed. I have done an affliate program before and for every person you get to sign up on a site like Free Credit Report they pay $100. So yea, Trainn is giving us half or even less of what they make.

Authority ID put a $21.90 hold on my card, they refund it when you cancel... just though you might want to add that

Okay, I kinda screwed up. I did the Esuccess4you and it went through (but no credit yet). I then did the Forex Global Trading offer, and didn't realize that it re-directed back to eSucces4you until just as I was ordering (I was noting the T&C in my records)...and it went through again!

Now, I'm hoping I get credit for both.

Then, things get weird....I checked my card balance, and I have 4 pending transactions from them! I'm kinda kicking myself for not paying attention, but it shouldn't be too bad. I'll see if the extra two pends "fall off" by next week...but I'll probably cancel them on Monday, just to be safe.

u should be fine, i did amazing webstores which credited and then i did esuccess2u about 2-3 weeks after, and it credited and everything worked out, that also happened to my friend, but i'm not saying thats the case for every1...

as for the pending charges, those will drop off...i had my girlfriend sign up under me as a referral and i did amazing webstores for her, but it didn't go thru, so i kept trying because sometimes PWW offers r lil punks like that. The next day she checked her account and there were 37 charges of $2.95 from them, but since it never went thru, they all dropped off after a couple days

I'm really not too worried about the pending charges...it was just weird to see 4 when I only entered them twice.

I was doing some digging, and I see these two are PWW, which kinda ticks me off because no where does it say in their T&C that they're Pacific; and a huge chunk of the offers are now PWW.

PWW aren't bad, if you use different cards, but I did both of these on the same card. Oh well, I'm just mad at myself for not paying attention...I'll see how this washes out over the next few days...


Oh, Rocko, I was looking at that Government Grants one. It comes out of Belize City, Belize - I'm not a geography slouch, but I had never heard of it. According to Wikipedia, it is in Central America, and is the sister city of Ann Arbor. I found that interesting, but the offer sounds shady as hell. I think I'll pass on that one, too.

Oh yeah, do a search on the company involved: Ravan Media. Don't see much except a few rip=off reports...

I saw that when I was combing the T&C for a trial period and phone number (neither of which I could find). That combined with the fact that I had no clue how long I had to cancel or even how to cancel made me walk away and see if anyone else had experience with them- I don't like to jump in blind when I don't know anything like that.

Thanks for doing some research, I believe I'll cross them off of my to-do list (which only leaves one offer, at this point, until I get a new credit card in a few days, which should open up two more).
 
I think I'm gonna do some offers soon. It's been awhile, so surely there will be some new ones for me to do.

So, what Pacific Webworks offers are new so I can stay away from those :(

No Prob. I have actually been spending the past half hour looking up "Raven media" and Belize - a lot of...interesting reading, and very little of it good. (I know, squeaky wheels and all that, but it seems they spell it both Ravan and Raven...it's like it gets fishier by the minute.)

A part of me is still tempted to test, since I'm using a pre-paid gift card, if to just report back to others here. But, to be honest, I probably won't.
 
Okay, here is an update of the research I have been doing for the Government Grants offer. I'm going to spoiler tag it, since this is going to be kinda long.

They are run by Ravan/ Raven Media, and they do a lot of the grant or Google money CDs, it seems. It seems the trial is anywhere from 7 to 30 days, depending on what CD you're doing. They are homed in Belize, but seem to have operations in Las Vegas.

I have found two phone numbers for them:
866-396-5694
800-479-0979

Naturually, I called both.

I called the 800 number, got a recorded message that said I reached customer service and to wait for an agent. An agent did pick up (11:30pm EST? I'm impressed.) with a thick accent, so I didn't catch his name. He asked for my name, but I said I was just interested if this was Raven Media, offered the Grant CDs. He said, "Yes, Ma'm." ::eyeroll:: So I said thank you, and hung up.

Then I called the 866 number. Same automated "Thank you for calling customer service, please hold for the next available agent" and same hold music. I thought maybe I misdialed, so I checked the phone, and I had dialed correctely. This time I got accented Chad. I posed the same question to him about Raven Media, and he said no.

On a whim, I called the 800 number again (mostly to make sure that it was the same canned greeting and hold music) and what agent did I get? Chad again! No lie. At this point, I hung up - I didn't see a reason for asking him again.

The address associated the most with them is:

Google streets lists a bunch of addresses here, including Raven. It looks like some sort of strip mall there:

There might be a small office complex, but looking at the list of companies, it may just be a Mailbox Etc or something similiar.

I have been culling a lot of the various rip-off report type sites and reading the things people have said. A common theme is ordering a CD, but never receiving it, or being charged ~$30/ month after 7 days. Some have even said that this signs you up for three different offers that you have to cancel separately.

Interestingly, I only found phone numbers once someone who said they were a rep for the company replied to a report.

Granted, this is all third party info (except my phone calls), so make of it what you will. It seems the company is really good at calling and harassing you to order CDs, as well. But, there are just too many red flags on this one...

Or, maybe the moral of the story is "I have too much free time on my hands on a Friday night."

EDIT: One more thing of interest. When you get to the second page of the offer, they list the following at the bottom:
"If you wish to discontinue your membership at any time, please call 866-396-5694."

Yep, that's the same 866 number I called that said they were not Raven and didn't do the Grant CDs...

I just thought I would mention,
I have ordered $560 worth of games from trainn this past year (2008) (mostly oct and nov) and after I try logging into my account, I couldn't and instead went to a screen saying "your account has been closed for violating terms and conditions..."
I contacted trainn by email and in hours I received a response saying
"Your account was closed for abusing our service by returning

Glad I never got into the habit of that returning method. This site is just too good to pass up. We're getting games for less than 10 bucks for each game. Sometimes...even free. Definitely beats shelling out 60+ for a game.

Edit: Never mind Found it like 80 pages back.

To bad my computer is soo crapy right now. It doesn't save any cookies at all and I have to sign into every website again and again every time and can't even sign into ebay. Looks like I'm done with offers till I reformat my computer.

I did Grant Every Day and EZ Grant Source yesterday, and they credited today. Still waiting for eSucces2You (and maybe Forex) to go through. Esuccess did call me today and left a voice mail welcome message, though.

About the Government Grants one I was mentioning last night...
I was sitting here this morning, drinking my coffee and figured, what the hell? I have a gift card with a few bucks left on it, and I did bad mouth them a lot last night (Based on what I read and the people I spoke with, I can't say there wasn't a reason). But, I'm a fair guy, so I figured I'd take the plunge and report back.

I signed up for Government Grants, like I said, this morning, and it already credited. (This and the two others had not credited yet just 6 hrs ago, the last time I checked.) So that's a plus.

Yeah, no way in hell would I use my personal CCs, but they took the gift card, which is cool.

I hope there's an update soon. There isn't much else I can do now...
 
They told me last week that there would be an update this week. Though they seem a bit slow over the holidays. My Gears 2 order has been pending for a few days.
 
Yea TheOne, make sure you cancel within the 7 days. They'll pending charge will go away, if not ask for a refund because that only counts if you agree pass the 7 days.
 
Ok, thanks. One other thing. When you go to the page to do this offer, do you HAVE to fill out the survey to qualify? It also looks like they are sending you something. Would you have to ship it back to avoid getting charged?

Hey when u use ur gift card, what address do u put in? are u able to make it ur own address or what? thanks for the help, i've always used my credit/debit card, but if a offer is sketchy, then i'm down to use a gift card haha

Normally when I use giftcards, and if I wanna buy something with it online, I gotta register it first. There is usually a site on the card when you register it (assign the card a name, address, etc). The site usually can tell you the balance on the card and the transactions done on the card.

If it's taking you to a survey, I wouldn't trust it. You could do a search here to see if others have experienced it. If not, you could e-mail Trainnin, the deal could have gone dead, unfortunately :(
