Need to add www - would not let me post link because im new

After you sign up and take the short survey, refresh the page and click Enter VIP on the homepage.

lol, i just tried with all fake info, they REALLY do a verification, hahah, not going in anyone's database as a confirmed smoker!
Thanks for sharing, but I'm not giving the last 4 of my social security number for a lighter.
It didn't ask me for the last 4 of my social?
It didn't ask me for the last 4 of my social?
Found discussion on another forum. Some people get asked and some don't. Some think it's because they had previously registered with a partner site. I think it may have something to do with the state you live in.

After I signed up- i logged back in to the site with my user/pass. It made me take a quick survey.
Once i was finished I went back to the homepage (the one with the picture of the two boxes) and there was a small box in the middle at the bottom that said Enter to get VIP Reward or something similar.

Im showing a small box that says Cigarillo coupons there now. If its not showing up, try refreshing.

Gave up. Registered, refreshed, closed the page, loaded a new one, restarted my laptop, checked my email...and there's nothing there.

No survey pops up when I enter the website and all it says is to get myself a coupon but when I click that option, a pop up page comes up and tells me an "error" has occured.

Have no idea what's wrong or why the survey isn't popping up for me.

I was going to post this earlier but as the others said I could not find the offer once I signed up. I dont know if its over but other sites have reported the same problem.

I tried right after the op posted and could not get it either. Thanks for posting it though, looks like some got it.
certain states and certain people have been reported to get this about 80% dont
it most just be certain people... I get stuff from Camel, Marlboro all the time so I know its not my state. Oh well, glad to see some are getting it anyway!

Just found this:

NEW UPDATE: People have been reporting that if they update their preferences, it works! (Thank You for all the emails!) This is real hit ot miss offer and I’m sorry.
Please Note: Certain states may be unable get this offer (We will update ASAP). If you are unable to see the VIP link, keep refreshing your page if for some reason you are unable to see this offer.
last 4 of your ss #? no thanks. I guess people didn't learn from the psn fiasco
People learned that Sony was warned about their security and did nothing about it. Assuming every company is the next Sony means you better use cash at every store. :applause:

You could always use a Pre-paid debit/credit card. Still, them asking you for the last 4 of your social is absurd. Soon they'll ask you to fax in id and all.
Apparently I'm not over 21, according to their social search, same for the wallet.
I'm having the same problem. All of my info is correct, but it thinks I'm under 21. There's obviously an error somewhere or they're verifying info with an outdated source. I had this same problem with the flask not too long ago. Meh.

Funny, I had to use my maiden name since I've registered for Camel that way and it didn't ask for my social; but to avail, no offer

What do you really think someone is going to do with the last 4 of your social? Paranoid people I swear.... Guess what... the sun is linked to cause skin cancer so I wouldn't go outside anymore if I were you.
I mean if I type 4 random numbers in it is a 100% chance it is someones last 4 of their social...
The last 4 digits are often used for verification, which is what they are doing here. Yes, you can come up with random 4 digits and it's likely to be part of someone's social. However, you can't also randomly come up with their name, birth date, address, and phone number. They are collecting all of that information and together it becomes easier to access other accounts and try to steal an identity.

When something like PSN or a credit card processor (the people who do the payment stuff when you swipe your card at Banana Republic) are compromised and info is stolen, why would you trust this site to keep it safe? It's not worth a $10 lighter, that I don't even need, to have that information sitting in some random database.
Bust out the holy hand grenades and tin foil hats! Cue X-Files theme music!
I think your name is funny for someone who thinks coming up with 4 random numbers is the same as a name, address, and matching last 4 digits of SS#. You'll understand when you move out and open up your first bank account, get a credit card, buy a cell phone, etc. The University I went to, financial institutions I've used, and other places have used those digits to verify my identity. If someone wanted to take over an account of mine, they could do so over the phone with all of the information this company wants me to put in.

It's a very very small risk, and taking it is up to you. It's most likely that nothing will ever happen. Some of us don't care enough about a lighter to bother. Acting like a douche about it? That's all you.

Im pretty sure the PSN hack is compromising because it involves peoples credit card numbers. If the site would have asked me for my credit card number and my social i probably would have declined the $10 lighter and refrained from posting the offer on this site. Because it didn't ask me for either of these, i decided to share it with you fine people.

Im also pretty sure if they are trying to verify anything, its to make sure that im not an 8 year old pyro, who likes to smoke his moms cigarillos and set shlt on fire.

Louie, obviously this lighter really means something special to you..considering you responded to my original post within 7 minutes and YOU'RE STILL POSTING IN A THREAD THAT YOU HAVE NO INTEREST IN. For that reason, I've decided to send you my lighter when it arrives. All i will need from you is your name, address, the last four of your social and a picture ID.

All you need is someones full name and you can find all the other info you want about them, even their full SS#. Take it from someone who use to do a lot of skiptracing your info is just a click away.

If you are worried about fraud get a credit monitoring service, set limits on your cards and dont keep all your money in one spot.

You have a chance of getting hit by a car every day you walk out of your front door(even a slight one if you stay home lol), but that is not going to deter me from living my life and carrying on daily activities. The same with this deal.. Is there a risk? sure. Is it substantial? not to your or my knowledge. If someone wants to steal your identity then they will. I am not going to live like a coward because I am so afraid of the boogie man.

Furthermore if your accounts are not secure enough that them having your social and address(because I hate to tell you that is not hard to come by) makes you fear losing everything you have earned then you have much bigger issues to worry about.

And before you go rattling on about what I have(wife, bank accounts, CDs, credit cards, 401k, small cap portfolio, above average salary plus incentives, company vehicle, full dental vision and health, 2600 square foot home, acreage, iphone, 2 fully paid for vehicles, etc. etc. etc.) and have not you may want to realize that just because you may have these items does not put you in some exclusive club that no one else can achieve. So before you ignorantly post, boast, try to look cool or whatever it was you were doing... think, before you hit the submit reply button. I would actually read it over once or twice to make sure you don't sound like a conceited a--hole or ignorant dipsh-t because you actually managed to accomplish both in one fell swoop. Congrats.

What strikes my curiosity the most is, if you were not interested why even bother looking down from your throne?
