Friends of AM23's: Jingjing and Chacha

AM23, you and many Democrats advocate the redistribution of wealth. That is the foundation of communism. The entire, "increase taxes on the wealthy" (when they already pay more both percentage wise as well as in totall) aspect aligns itself with one of the basic tenant of communism. Not only that, but it seems every time I see a communist country being defended, it happens to be someone that also supports Democrats. As I said, Harry Belafonte is a longtime Democrat supporter. He has also expressed his support for Huge Chavez. Jane Fonda expressed her support for the communist Vietnamese regime. Very few Democrats that I have engaged in conversation with haven't either advocated the redistribution of wealth or expressed fondness for the activities of various communist countries much like you and Moore sang the praises of Cuba. Hell, even Elders, appointed by a Democrat said she wanted the US healthcare system to be like Cuba's. So yeah, I keep hearing Democrats and their supporters saying they want things more like communism and I arrive to the conclusion that they do indeed support communism. Perhaps they are not even aware, but once again it goes back to the "walks like a duck, quacks like a duck" saying.

Elders wanted the u.s. health care system to be like cuba in the sense that it's like germany, sweden etc. She wanted universal health care, that's practiced by virtually every western capitalist democracy outside of the u.s. The reason people focus on cuba is they can do so much with so little, so why aren't we far superior across the board?

Belafonte, even if he was a communist, is not an elected politician. You suggested democrat politicans were communists. Fonda's the only communist you've mentioned, and that seems to just be part of her history, and she's not a politician.

And, again, I did not praise cuba. Saying one aspect of a nation is good is different than praising the nation as a whole.

But communism is about the ownership of the means of production by workers and also goes throught a period of dictatorship (which, realistically, doesn't end).

You aren't thinking properly. For example, bill clinton isn't as liberal as jane fona, but that doesn't mean bill clinton is a far right republican. Yet that's how your thought process is working here. Wanting social probrams does not equal communism. Free public education is a closer to a communist/socialist goal than a capitalist one, but yet you don't label someone communist for wanting that. Seriously, why aren't people a communist for supporting that? Free education certainly isn't a capitalist idea.

You don't know what communism is, and you made huge flying leaps that have no basis in reality.

Also, there is a reason that AM23 only questioned my reference to communism when I said:

Reading comprehension, learn it. I've been questionining your reference to communism in every place it was relevant.

Leftists: "Denounce the of economic and social inequality in the present order of society. Common political paths include socialism , communism , social democracy, welfare statism..."

Leftists are quite often socialist/communist (I combined them for a reason!!). They have Marxist ideals and the end game for a Marxist is communism and the abolition of government! Most socialists do not want this extreme consequence but they do in fact follow the path to communism, just not all the way. They do not like the label, yet they practice the principles.

Fascists are right wingers, but I would be an idiot to suggest that many republicans support such things. It's absurd you're total lack of knowledge of what is communisn, what is socialism, how liberals thing (ie. wanting the abolition of government) etc. You're like the kid who takes an intro to psychology course and then thinks he can start counseling everyone with a problem.

I am disheartened by the response in this thread but suffice it to say that you guys are why I support Republicans.

Well, you do fit right in with that whole black and white, good vs. evil world.

I said I'm done with you guys. It is obvious that you embrace or in the least defend leftist ideals and socialism which is nothing more than a lesser form of communism.

Patriotism is nothing more than a lesser form of fascism. Do you support patriotism? If you do, howdy mr. fascist!

Fascists believe in nationalism (ie. patriotism), oppose social programs, are anti-communist, and believe in social darwinism (ie. the wealthy are rich because of their own abilities, and deserve the most). Sound familiar?

You should make the distinction between nationalism and Jingoism.

my whole point is to take some similarities and make it fit the largest amount of people possible, then be able to denounce them for believing something they oppose.
