I'd be down to get Gattaca or Kung Fu Hustle. Hope Amazon price matches these.
Doubt it, would be nice though.
I'll be PM'ing Starship Troopers and maybe Men In Black later today at Best Buy...glad I waited on Starship Troopers.
What I tried to do was buy them (previous BRs on sale at Frys) at Best Buy and then walk over to the Return Desk to get a PM + 10% price difference. The CSR said that the purpose was to have people waste gas and time to come in and PM.
I asked her if she wanted to waste my gas and time just to PM and she said yes....what a bitch. So I decided to return the $200 (regular price) stuff with the 2 BRs that wanted to PM. Lost a sale because of a price difference of $5 each BR.
It was at the Costa Mesa, CA BB.
Their web site also has the sale prices now for the above listed BDs.
Explains why the website is crashing for random reasons and all the good stuff is sold out. :wall:

I don't get it.

You bought the BDs at Best Buy, walked over to return desk and then said something about wasting your gas? Were these previous purchases?

I purchased the BRs at the Best Buy front line register. Then I walked over to the return desk to get a price-match. Return CSR said I cannot do that. I inquired "why not?"
She said the price-guarantee (price-match) must be done with another visit to the Best Buy store.
She said since another visit would cost people time and gas, they (customers) would not likely price-match.
I then asked her if she wanted to waste my time and gas, she said yes.

Hopefully that clears it up.

BTW, I price-matched 5 BRs from the Frys ad to BB (not Costa Mesa).

never go to the montclair, ca bestbuy either. some fat bitch works there who you should def avoid

the only time i was there, she refused to price match, so i told her to walk over and put the blu-ray back on the shelf since she could sure use the exercise

Are these valid at any Fry's? It may be worth driving to Tempe to pick up Life of Brian, Baron Munchausen, and Starship Troopers.

Just came back form best buy. talked to 3 people and asked to get it priced matched.

they said unless i had the ad on hand they wont do anything for me. I directed them to the online ad scan showing the sale, and i told them to CALL the frys in san diego which isnt that far away.

they said we dont call stores, which is total bullshit, they have done that for me countless times. i had frys.com in their faces, the online scan in front of them, and they refused to call to confirm the in store price, they wanted the physical ad in hand.

I just got frustrated by these pricks and left.

Best Buy will call if they feel it will help their ability to deny the PM.

They won't call if they feel it will cause the PM to go through.

It's quite simple, really. ;)

That sounds like a great story for the Consumerist.

I'm so glad Amazon is around these days. I haven't set foot in a Best Buy except for Black Friday in years and judging by what some of you all are saying, it was even more worth it than I thought.
